The new book The Twilight Zone Encyclopedia comes out November 1st (Chicago Review Press, Trade paper $29.99). Written by film historian Steven Jay Rubin, it’s a great collectible for Twilight Zone fanatics, packed with vibrant history, amazing trivia, and rare photographs—and assembled with the full cooperation and support of the Rod Serling estate. It would be a fun topic to cover the week leading into Halloween.

Since its small-screen debut in 1959, The Twilight Zone has become regarded as one of TV’s most influential series and has inspired writers, producers, and directors across all genres. The Twilight Zone Encyclopedia includes biographies of every principal actor involved in the series and hundreds who toiled behind the scenes—producers, writers, and directors—as well as plot synopses, anecdotes, never-before-seen images and interviews with nearly everyone still alive who was associated with the show. It’s a one-of-a-kind tribute to the show that changed the landscape of network television.
