I just found Weaveworld by Clive Barker on amazon for $5 for my kindle. I have been waiting for this a long time. Today is shaping up to be a good day.

June 12 Surgery
June 23 - 26 Flying to Atlanta for a business trip and yes I will be sneaking out at night to look at Walking Dead locations lol
July 6 Family Reunion

Just going to ramble here...I've started two stories and ditched them. They were turning into same ole, same ole. For the life of me I am having a hard time coming up with something that is new to me. In the meantime I am waiting word on three new stories I submitted, two of them totally unlike anything I've ever wrote, plus the story I wrote here for the exercise. That last one I got word that it passed the first editor and it's off to the second editor, but no word yet on the other two...I'm thinking that that's a hopeful sign.

Tony, best of luck with those stories!

I envy you and I'll be honest, I always feel a bit guilty when I see others submitting short stories to various places. I feel as if I should be doing more. Instead, I tend to stick to novel writing. I enjoy doing it, even though it's more work and there's no guarantee they'll ever get picked up, but I love writing them.

Maybe once I've cleared the decks with this latest book, I should sit down and write a few before I leap into another, longer piece.

Sad, because I just found out that I missed the book signing for River of Souls by Robert McCammon. And I was actually in town this time.

At least he is still writing.

So after arriving at the hospital at 10:30 am, getting an iv, laying there until 2pm, the doctor (not my regular one) comes in, feels my neck and says he cannot feel the lump so it would be best to cancel my surgery. So he did. So I spent all that time a bit loopy to have him cancel it. Needless to say I will be contacting my regular doctor to find out WTF. What a way to spend a vacation day.

Just bought The Bridge by John Skipp & Craig Spector for my Kindle. I read this book 12 or 13 years ago. I enjoyed it then, and always knew I'd re-read it. So glad I found it for $2. Yay me!
