The damn doctor is on vacation this week. She comes back tomorrow. How about telling me that ugh ugh ugh. I found out when I tried to send her a email.

So I couldn't stand it anymore. I called the doctors office and asked for the results. The nurse lady was nice and said she couldn't give me the results over the phone my doctor would have to call me with them when she gets back from vacation. Then she said because I would be scared too I can tell you it did not come back as cancer.
DEEP SIGH of relief.
So I wait to find out what it was but know it is not some kind of cancer. Thank god.

Been hot and dry as Hell in 'sunny California' the last few days, and by all accounts it'll be the same all week and then some. I also read a forecast today that said there'll be no June Gloom, just more of this, all through Summer.

This is on top of already horrid drought conditions, fire hazards all around, and our water has started to taste all chlorine-y and awful. Looks like we're drinking the recycled stuff, now.

Go outside and everyone's bad tempered and pissed off because the Santa Ana winds are hot and are driving us all crazy. They come howling through and kick up the dust and tear our nostrils and throats to shreds. We don't usually get winds like this until Autumn and as of now they've ripped every petal and leaf from my roses. I remember reading about them, back when I didn't live here, and I didn't really get it. How can something so banal as a warm wind drive a person crazy? Well hooooo boy... it feels like your skin is about to fall off.

Overall, not a disaster by any means. But it's not easy to live with at the moment.

Almost 100 degrees for the last two days. No water in our ponds. Pant pant pant UGH

My surgery to remove the lymph node is June 12. And to top it off I have a freaking pinched nerve in my other arm. Thank god I have good insurance lol

I still remember conversations back in the early to mid Eighties regarding privatizing the UK National Health Service. "If it's private it'll be more efficient, more cost effective, less of a drain on public resources." No one giving a thought to the monster of greed hiding behind it all. No consideration that you might not get accepted or your rates would be sky high because of previous conditions. Because that would be exactly like car insurance and (as Horrordude suggested) people aren't cars. Right? Holy shit, when I think of what could have happened...
