I thought I'd dodged the bullet. Apparently not. Picked husband up from the airport on Saturday and he was in bad shape. Sunday morning I got that tight feeling at the back of my throat, so I ran around and did what I could - mowed the lawn, went to the supermarket, did laundry etc etc, just in case, and sure enough -

It began with shivering violently, feeling all trippy, feet like blocks of ice, and quickly migrated into a raging hot, miserable fever. Then came a migraine-level headache that stuck around for forty eight hours. Ugh. And now I'm back to feeling all trippy again, coughing up a lung and shuffling about like an eighty year old. Whoo. This flu thing is nasty and my commiserations go out to those who have already gone through it. You weren't kidding, were you.

The most disturbing thing, was how quickly it took hold. According to Tony, he met with a guy who already had this thing, and began suffering the same symptoms one and half days later. Ditto for me. In my experience these things take a few days to manifest. Not this one. And I'd hate to think what shape I'd be in if I was already weak/old/young etc.

I seriously need to get out of Virgina. I just found out that my license has been suspended. I've paid all the fees and fines...I didn't get any notification. Fuck this place.

Hurray for the summer semester. It's suckage. All the classes being offered for my major, I've already taken. All of the lower level class work I was trying to spread out, I will be taking. The only cool thing is that I will be doing an Independent Study. My advisor is also the department head and she will be my instructor.

My roommate really is a piece of work. He lost his cell phone and the keys to the car and house. If he can't find the house keys, we have to pay the landlord for new locks.

I don't know if I should be amused or annoyed by my roommate. He and his buddy think they know where his cell phone is. And he did find his keys. What they were doing on the recycling bin is anyones guess. Our upstairs neighbor found them there. The guy really needs to get his drinking in check. He managed to get him and a couple others tossed out of a bar because he creeped out the women. They also think he's gay. I'm seriously debating about just going to parties with him next weekend and rercording EVERYTHING he does. Then put it up on youtube.

Lessons learned. 1: The handyman for the apartment building cannot cut a straight line. Not even ones that are clearly marked. 2: I need to get my tools out of storage. 3: My bookcase is really gonna look nice once I buy the rest of the lumber.

I saw that episode and it was creepy.
I actually really enjoy this. but then again I might enjoy it just as much if it were water colors instead of blood. Probably more because the color wouldn't change to a brownish after a while

I put blood in the same category as spit, sweat, bile, snot and some other body fluids I'm sure no one wants me to mention. So er, yeah... ugh...

I'm going to hell. My upstairs neighbor is scared of dogs. She was just outside. She's a big african-american. I let Shelley out. Her family and friends aren't letting her live it down. Even her kids are making fun of her.
