I gave myself a limit. if It was under 2k then I wouldn't make myself have car payments. if it was over 3k then it was a new car. In the middle.... wasn't sure

With car payments (new car) there comes a peace of mind that it should run for at least 3 or 4 years without any major problems. And if there are problems, they should be fixed under warranty. If you have to travel any distance to work and there is no alternative to get there, having a car you depend on means having a job or losing it.

They are giving me a three year warranty.

Providing the money was available, I'd always lean toward a new(ish) vehicle, car payments and reliability. But that probably stems from my first car days, when my Mark 1 Escort would never start in the winter. I spent many harrowing moments being towed by my dad on slippery , narrow country roads on the end of a VERY SHORT CHAIN (the car, that is, not me

). Last resort we'd try and bump start the fucking thing down a very steep hill, lurching and jolting all the way. Yay! if it worked. Not so yay if it didn't and I had to walk back up the hill and then run for the bus (and miss it... and be late for work).

Sometimes, the money isn't there, though.

It turned out to be a replacement video game from my ex. She stole a couple and has to replace them. She won't get her bongs back until she does. And I lock my door at night so that she isn't tempted to do it again. She's only allowed in my room when I'm home.

I got sucked into a series of books. The Remaining. I found the first one on accident for $2.99 for my kindle. I am on book three and I couldn't wait to get home and start reading today. That is how I know that I am loving what I am reading.

Don't think I'm gonna pass my chinese class. The final exam kicked the crap out of everyone. Some of us more than others. Didn't do too bad on the spoken exam though. Need to get a job at a chinese restaraunt to help me improve. And thank baby zombie jeebus that ODU has a Grade Forgiveness policy. I'm gonna need it. Depending on my final grade, I'm gonna drop my intermediate chinese class and work on my minors.

Final grade was 57.35. Needed a 61 to continue. Since there is no Beginning Chinese next semester, I've got to wait until next fall to take it. So now I'm taking Basic Economics and East Asian Politics. Fun, Fun, Fun...
