Hard as it might be to believe, having a second child is cutting into my reading time a bit.

That said, I have recently finished a couple books by the King: The Wind Through the Keyhole and Christine.

Currently working on Blood Harvest by James A. Moore, Still Life With Crows by Preston & Child, and Gateways by F. Paul Wilson.

I found the time by putting aside all other reading until they're done, and by reading them when I would normally be reading something else. I guess I say enough when they're done? I certainly didn't expect that many, though...

The Swarm, forget who it's by.

Actually put aside two books last week because I was having problems with them. The first was called Seven-X about possession which was so redundant I couldn't take it anymore. The other was Grave Worm by Tim Curran. Love Tim's stuff but this one had scenes that were so graphic and disturbing (sexual) that I had to put it down.

No, it's about an entire island of people (7,000) that go into a trance and walk to the beach and screw the hell out each other. The come out of the trance after they've all screwed for about an hour and are horrified by their actions.

Just think about this, your mom, your sisters, the old lady next door, overweight, underweight, sickly, ugly and beautiful people, all screwing whatever man takes them, and then the two go and do it again over and over with other partners. When they come out of the trance, all 7,000 people, the women are loaded with semen and the men are sore and nobody can remember what happened. Aside from the awkwardness of family members with each other (Was there incest? Their partner had sex with someone else!) there are concerns with STD's, AIDS, and pregnancy. And I'll give one spoiler...there was a 100 % pregnancy rate. Then if you are pregnant, what then? What does the government do?

So far, it's a great read.

Finished it last night. This might be the only book I ever read where the author included a web page to go to on the last page so he could explain his interpretation of the ending. I'm going to check it out this evening, I finished it up in bed last night and didn't feel like getting up to check it out.

Dammit, I brought a submission to read on lunch, but it's one I rejected last week. The author had resent it with a re-written ending. I read both versions before rejecting it, but I guess I forgot to toss one of the copies.

Down to about the last 30, I think.
