Thanks, JD. the whole situation really sucks. It's going to be a long summer trying to figure things out. The HR director says we don't have bumping rights, even though the contract says we do and this elimination of jobs was done while we we're working with out a contract, upper management is not bargaining in good faith and they cancelled the last negotiation session that was scheduled. and to top it all off our union is as useless as "Boobs on a Bull". The next 5 months will be fun.

So I have to go back to the doctor in two weeks if the bump is still there. I will be sent to a surgeon who will determine if they want to remove it or biopsy it. Personally I am hoping in two weeks it is not there.

My coworker is tearing my heart out. A year ago her husband had brain cancer and they operated. Then about 3 months ago she found out her kidneys are failing and she needs to get a transplant but first dialysis. Today she called in to say her husband was being admitted to the hospital because he has another tumor in his brain. The last time the doctor said he wouldn't do another operation. This time the doctor told her that he was shocked he was even coherent. She has two young children. It is horrible and we all cried at work for her today.

Hello, I hope everything turns out well for you.

I work in the healthcare industry and everyday I hear stories like your co-worker. Heartbreaking stories about old people, children, and everyone in between. I really try to live my life knowing that life is a crapshoot and another day of life is not a given. I try to be a happy person, give to charity and make others around me happy. That's what life is about.

Ah, Jody that's a heartbreaking story, and Chris that's a good attitude to have.

I've just finished reading a Rolling Stone article about folk having lost their jobs and living in their vehicles; what it takes to get by, physically and mentally. Gah.

Sometimes life is a 15ft tall soccer hooligan wearing steel-toed Doc Marts, just waiting for a chance to kick us in the face.

Two things.....

First....

So my doctor decided I shouldn't take Ambien for sleep problems anymore and prescribed me something different. It came in the mail today and just for the hell of it I decided to do a drug interaction check against my current medication I take for PMDD. Bright red SERIOUS interaction popped up. Ummm I think she is trying to kill me.
I sent her an email stating that it has serious interactions and maybe she can switch me to lunesta which does not have any.
She then sent me an email stating that she talked to another doctor and they decided it would be ok if I took it. I sent her an email stating I will not be taking it. SHEESH

Second... this made me laugh out loud.

My last cat was weird. He LOVED going to the vet. I never had to fight with him. Just asked him if he wanted to go bye-bye and he'd go sit at the door and wait on me to get the cat carrier. But then again, he loved turning on the water and playing in it.
