I'm kinda meh about this. In this situation, sounds more like the adults were out of control. In Thailand, kids are fighting professionally at that age. Though there is now a movement to move the fighting age up. I would rather have mmy child trained in MMA than participate in football. In MMA, you quickly learn how easy it is to hurt someone and you learn self-control. You don't develop that level of self-control in football.

Edit: The written article was crap. I don't know what they watched. The kids showed good jiu-jitsu skills and the ref broke it up as soon as one started tapping. He even brought in a doctor to check out the childs knee and repeatedly asked if he wanted to continue.

This was not in a gym or even a YMCA type venue - this was an adult venue. Those children should not have been there. It was barbaric and uncalled for.

Just from the video, what I saw was a professionally run event. There was nothing wrong with what was happening. I've seen beer sold at little league games and pee-wee football. So does that make those events barbaric?

The venue it was held at must have been cleared for that kind of event. Just because it wasn't a YMCA or gym, means nothing.

I saw a ref call for a doctor when he thought the kid was hurt. Only time I've seen a doc called for in a peewee football game is when the kid gets seriously hurt. There was more concern for the kids in the cage than you see at a peewee football game.

Well, I wouldn't take my kids to a boxing match and this seems like a similar atmosphere.

To be honest, I can't believe any sane parents would take their kids to an event like this much less participate in it.

I'm going tosee if I can put my three year old daughter up against them, she's a nutter and will rip those kids apart.

I'm scared of her. She broke my nose a few months ago, just because I wouldn't stop tickling her

I used to play rugby, for you American's it's like American football, but we don't bother with all the body armour, and I used to compete in full contact kickboxing, apart from sprains etc I was never injured competing in kickboxing.

However, thanks to rugby, my left knee is shot, my right shoulder is shot, I have had most of my teeth kicked out, and I know have a 12 inch metal plate in my left arm, a fused wrist/ hand. I have no individual bones in my left hand, just one big fused bone graft.

But you know what, my son Campbell plays rubg and has just taken up kickboxing, he's 7. I'm not worried for him, it's so much more regulated these days. I was 14 and played rugby for the adult team. That would never happen now.

There are some bands that can't, and shouldn't, play live. Foo Fighters isn't one of those bands. That comes close to being the best concert I've been seen. Almost a three hour show, and the hearing is still a little fuzzy. I took my 17 year old nephew and it was his first concert. I think he's still in a daze from it.

I was looking for another dog. I showed her a few pictures of Japanese Spitzes. One of the websites had a picture of a pup looking at a couple of slices of pizza and she lost it.

We've narrowed our choices down to Karelian Bear Dogs, Japanese Spitzes, Pomeranians, and Tamaskans.
