i have finally joined the e-book generation! haven't bought a kindle yet, but i downloaded it for PC. first stories read were Turtle Boy by Kealan Patrick Burke and Specimen 313 by Jeff Strand. Both of them were really good.

Ran 2 miles Sunday, 3 miles Monday, and 3 miles Tuesday. Rewarded myself (and my legs) with a rest & recovery day today.

I haven't had a Mountain Dew (or any pop, for that matter) in a little over a week - because drinking pop and running is a perfect way to induce vomiting.

Only two more weeks until I can do the Dew!!

French Woman Sues Husband for Lack of Sex

Husbands and wives, take note: The phrase, "Not tonight, honey," could end up costing quite a bit more than a bruised ego and grumbled acceptance.

A French wife sued her husband and won about $14,000 because he didn't have sex with her enough, according to Time.

The wife sued her husband about two years ago for the waning bedroom activity over 21 years of marriage, and now the Nice, France, judge has ruled that a lack of copulation is indeed a violation of the marital contract.

"A sexual relationship between husband and wife is the expression of affection they have for each other, and in this case it was absent," the judge ruled, according to the Telegraph. "By getting married, couples agree to sharing their life and this clearly implies they will have sex with each other."

Of course, some men also take extreme measures in dissolving relationships.

In 2009, a North Dakota man requested half the value of his wife's breast job when the two split.

Erik Isaacson appealed his judge's decision to exclude the value of the procedure from the divorce case. The judge worried that if breast implants were considered as marital assets, the precedent would extend to other, more necessary medical procedures like root canals or even hip replacements, according to the Bismarck Tribune.

No argument from Isaacson there: He also wanted his wife's Lasik vision surgery counted as an asset.

One Egyptian woman, however, might have the most valid of the three divorce requests.

According to Urban Titan, the woman had to bring her husband to court because he refused to bathe for their entire first month of marriage.

The man claimed an allergy to water prevented him from maintaining proper hygiene -- and a doctor backed up his excuse.

Though the doctor's validation of the water allergy made ending the marriage more difficult, the woman did eventually get to split from her husband. One can only imagine that she would not be complaining about lack of bedroom activity.

1.The United States lost its top-tier AAA credit rating from Standard & Poor's.

2. Yesterday: Standard & Poor’s has upgraded Israel’s credit rating to A+.
The new rating, which was issued Saturday, means that Israel’s Finance Ministry can borrow at a lower interest rate with lower financing costs. Israel’s rating had been A; the highest rating is AAA

3. The U.S conservatively gives Israel about 3 billion dollars in aid a year.

4. The U.S threatens to pull the finacial aid (a pittance compared to Israel) it gives to Palestine if it continues its bid for statehood.

Man...how does this happen? I just woke up from TWO nightmares.

In the first my wife and I were in this haunted old hotel, like an old fashioned Inn, and she was sick in bed. Scary stuff was happening and she was too sick to move. I saw someone who told me to get everything purple out of the rooms and while I was doing that the freaking ghosts got pissed and started tried to kill us. While this was happening, in another room a maid walked in and a 100 year old ghostly woman materialized. The maid recognized her and the ghost caused her face to turn into a mask and then her face just melted. It scared me so much it woke me up.

I managed to go back to sleep, and now I'm dreaming I'm in my truck and i turn to go up this road and there is a huge coke a cola truck coming at me on the other side of the road. Well the coke a cola truck puts on his brakes to stop because there is a line of cars stopped at a stop sign and his truck jack knifes. The trucks body turns sideways and it's headed right for me. I stop fast, put my truck in reverse and try to back out of the way before this big red and white coke truck hits me, but it keeps on coming. Then just before it hits me, it sideswipes the cars waiting at the stop sign and it rolls over and stops just a few feet in front of me. Well I stop my truck, get out, and then me and another guy walk up to the cab to see if the drivers all right. But before we get there, the door opens, and this big guy in a clown costome gets out, and he's got a sledge hammer in his hands. He gets out, walks to his cab, and then starts beating the crap out of his cab. When nothing happens to the cab he throws the sledge hammer way high into the air, so high we can't see it. Seconds later it comes down, and it lands on my head. That's when I woke up.

I'm still all nerved up from these nightmares. I came downstairs without my only glasses to type this and between the looking at this computer screen with one squinty eye because of the brightness, and my head all groggy from sleep, forgive me if screwed any of this up. Hell, I'm not sure if I'll even remember typing this in the morning.
