Stupid college book stores...Of the 4 textbooks I bought last semester, only one could be sold back. So now I'm on amazon and craigslist trying to sell them.

I got the job!!! I am part time (6 hours a day) for a while. Not sure how long. And I am on a normal 3 month probation period but they liked me enough to offer me the job!!!

I will have to get licensed to sell insurance in the near future and that will bump up my salary and work time. Right now I am learning Cobra administration.

Watching the Pat's first pre season game.

I brought a box of books to the library tuesday night, about 40 of them. Got three in the mail today. I;m gonna be loading up that table all over again.

I'm very happy for you, Hello. I hope this eases some of the burdens on your mind.

Spent my day at work emulating the honey badger. I just didn't give a shit. It amazes me that some of the people in my store still have jobs when there are folks out there who are willing to work harder than those with the jobs. Let me rephrase that a bit. It amazes me that this store, let alone this company, is still standing the way it's being run. At least it's a paycheck.

Just came from a triple A baseball game, we have a farm team for the Blue Jays here and we watched them play tonight. My neighbor has season tickets.

We all know that college textbooks are a scam. But the biggest part of said scam: math books. Went in to buy my math book and get the software for it. The guy in front of me was buying just a textbook, no software. He was told that once he took the wrapping off his textbook, he wouldn't be able to return it or sell it back. I can understand if the book had software included, but this one didn't. Thank god for craigslist.

Yesterday, one of our delivery drivers was in a small argument with one of the appliance salespeople. The salesperson was saying how the driver caused him to be yelled at on the phone by a customer who said the driver was late. The driver countered that he had been forced to return to the customer he'd just delivered to because he forgot to attach the drain hose to their washer, the customer ran it and caused some pretty bad water damage to floors, walls, a pool table and a drop ceiling. (I'm guessing the washer was on the first floor and water got into the basement with the pool table.)

I'm still trying to figure out the worst part of all this: the fact that this was the second time in six weeks this driver had done that; that he still had a job; or that two assistant store managers joked about it with him.

I'm so ready to move somewhere to get away from stupid people. Like the moon.
