Today I'm starting Clive Barker's Forms of Heaven.

Yeah, Incarnations was the first, in 1995 or 96, and Forms of Heaven came in 1996. They both collect 3 plays each, written while he was still in theatre, before he was big in fiction.

Incarnations was really good. I'm hoping Forms follows suit.

There's a few books I'd like to read before Necon, so I should probably start on those. Fatal Error by F. Paul Wilson (or as Nanci says, Paulie) is the frontrunner right now.

I saw them when they came out, but for whatever stupid reason dismissed them. Plays, I thought, who needs em?

Eventually I realized I needed them. Had to track them down. Stupid out of print, hard to find books!

I like the characters Masterton has in Death Mask, but so far it's just not doing anything for me. I'll give it another 100 pages to hook me. I figure I owe it to Masterton; he's written some great stuff in the past that I really liked.

Finished Nathaniel by John Saul today. I enjoyed it as much as the first time I read it. I think I'll be hanging on to it a while longer.
I plan to start Fireworks by James A. Moore tomorrow. Never read any of his stuff. I remember seeing here someone enjoyed him quite a bit, then I remembered I have my own Moore in my TBI. I look forward to reading it.

I finished off Fireworks by James A Moore on Friday. it was ok. I may save it and see if I feel like reading it again later.
I finally got Insomnia by Stephen King for my Kindle last week. I may start reading it next week.

What did everyone on here think of Keene's Dark Hollow? Those that have read it, that is.

I loved the characters, and all the spooky scenes in the woods were well written. I wouldn't say I liked it as much as The Rising or Conqueror Worms, but I'd say it's another one of my Keene favs so far.

I'm on its sequel, Ghost Walk, right now.

Dude, I liked Dark Hollow. When I first read Ghost Walk, I thought it was okay, but not great. After reading Darkness On The Edge Of Town, I rethought my position on Ghost Walk, and found it more effective with what I'd read in Darkness. It almost feels like Darkness should be read first.

Damn, that was one horny satyr in Dark Hollow. If he goes near Eva I'll grab a shotgun and blow his pecker off.

I've already read Darkness On The Edge of Town, and so far I'm liking Ghost Walk. The only other unread Keene I have in my possession is Castaways. I need to get Kill Whitey and I keep forgetting.

Dark Hollow is my favourite Keene book. Excellent stuff. Ghost Walk was very poor indeed.

Currently reading Night of the Assholes by Kevin L Donihe. Pretty mediocre.

Recently finished Passenger by Ronald Malfi, which was very good and almost brilliant.

I have a few Keene books, haven't read any of them. I was thinking of Dark Hollow as my next but I have The Rising, City of the Dead, Terminal and Ghoul. anybody got a suggestion as which is better read first? you have time to make suggestions, I'm still in the beginning of Insomnia. I didn't get to read much on vacation.
