I have finished The Bridge by Skipp and Spector and I really think it should be considered a classic. The writing was so good I found myself re-reading paragraphs slowly to absorb the prose. Just a stunning piece of work.

well I decided to buy The Talisman for my kindle. haven't read it in a coupla years. so I figured now's a good time. much lighter read than The Freakshow.

I just finished Endurance by Jack Kilborn and a short zombie novel (I can't remember the name of it or the author just now) that I picked up for a dollar.
Endurance was the balls! The unknown zombie novel by the unknown author was good enough to keep me interested through the whole thing, a real good deal for only $ .99.
Endurance (A Novel Of Terror) is by Jack Kilborn and J.A. Konrath (they are the same person) and it gets my highest recommendation. This is the best Richard Laymon like book that I've read so far. Only it doesn't have the lesbian sex. But it does have women in trouble in the woods (LOTS of women I might add, and some of the strongest I've read in fiction), plenty of freaks, and the violence is plentiful and over the top. And it's got characters that you will love. I couldn't stop reading this once I started. It's only 3 bucks on Amazon.
The Zombie story is called After Life and its by Jason Lee Knuth. It's only a buck, but it's a very long story, more than novella length, and it's pretty entertaining. Not a whole lot new in this one, but...its got some good characters that you will like, and it does have a unique twist on the zombies that you will not learn of until near the end. It made me wonder why no one else had ever thought of this before. I got this also on Amazon.
If you order these, I hope you enjoy them and come back and tell us what you thought of them.

I should be finishing up Robert McCammon's Mister Slaughter tomorrow. I really enjoyed this one. he seems to have gone a little more horror on this one. I love it! I already have my next read set up on my Kindle, which I'm loving by the way. it's Strangers by Dean Koontz. I love re-reading this one every few years or so. it's so big and cumbersome though, for a paperback. I'm so glad they made an e-book of it.

Reading Gene O'Neill's Cal Wild series - got the colour tour of THE BAJA EXPRESS, so I signed up for DOC GOOD'S TRAVELING SHOW which should take me down the trail to JADE.
Recently finished Lisa Morton's The Lucid Dreaming (Pretty good), Tim Lebbon's A Whisper of Southern Lights (enjoyed it a lot), and Braunbeck's To Each Their Darkness (which I thought was killer.) Now I'm reading What They Hear in the Dark by Gary McMahon.

I'm also in the mood for a Charles Grant novel. Not sure when I can get to it, But if I get a break this weekend, I'll dig a few out of the catacombs and see what catches my fancy.

finally finished Strangers by Dean Koontz on my Kindle the other day. I read a book recommended by someone here, called After Life by Jaron Lee Knuth, finished it yesterday. Great (novella, I guess you'd call it) short zombie story. I say short , since I read it in a day. that's a record for me. it took me a day and a half to read, but only because I started it late. I think, technically, I read it in about 4 hours. it's only .99 at amazon right now. very much worth it. next on my kindle is Everville by Clive Barker. another gigantic book that I've been wanting to read. if it had been broken in 2 like Imajica, I'd have bought it that way a long time ago. I was gonna read Insomnia by Stephen King next but someone saw fit to remove the Kindle version from amazon. I'm sure they'll put it back eventually. I hope.

Just finished Lucifer's Lottery by Edward Lee. I had a great time with it. I love the depth of detail Lee goes into with his descriptions of Hell.
I have just started Everdead by Rio Youers. Youers is a writer that Jack Ketchum recommended on his message board. It's a pretty standard vampire novel but the writing is above average and the action scenes are thrilling.
