My girlfriend gave me a 1940 h/c of M.R. James stories. Cool. For some reason it's better to read old stories in old editions: the yellowed paper, the fragility, and that musty smell--just makes it better!

Good books! If you can afford it now is a great time to buy collectable books. I did buy mine slowly over time, trying not to overpay just because I wanted to fill a hole in the collection.
I see some great prices right now. I have made up a new rule for myself, however. DO NOT BUY COPIES OF BOOKS I ALREADY HAVE!!!!
Of course I immediately broke the rule by buying a HC limited of Laymon's THE BEAST HOUSE on Ebay for $50. I just can't resist....

Trolley 1852 is a high water mark for you, Mr. Edward Lee, and for horror in general. Truly fantastic story and one of the best designed books anyone has published. I am with Jonah in hoping to pick a lettered up in the secondary market.
