So I finished 'The Teratologist' in no time and I have to say, the opening scene struck a chord. Being an investigative social worker in rural Appalachia, I definitely see this as being something that I will eventually encounter, as I often have to investigate alleged abuse and/or neglect of mentally retarded people in care facilities. Just wanted to give Mr. Lee and Mr. White kudos for grossing me the hell out.
