The Ghost In The Corner
My new dog Greta can see the thing up in the corner of my dining room. I haven't seen anything up in the corner for a long time, but she watches it several times a day.

Weird shit. I just saw a movie that said that demon's like to do stuff in three's to mock the holy trinity. It was just a movie, but you brought it to mind when you mentioned the lights going on and off three times.

Yeah, the lights were pretty strange. It hasn't done that in awhile. One of my lights in my office kept going out about every three or four days and would stay out and each time I went to change the bulb I had to get a small ladder to reach it. As soon as I would reach up to change the bulb, it would come back on. Finally, after this happened about ten times I just changed the bulb anyway and it hasn't done it since.

I used to live in a house that was adjoined to an ancient farmhouse, and when I say ancient, I mean mid-fifteen hundreds. My sister's and my grandma's bedrooms were both part of the farmhouse and had extremely thick walls and narrow slit windows. Always freezing cold and dark in those rooms because light could never get in and it made for a very strange atmosphere. Never saw anything, thank goodness, because I'm easily spooked, the roads were pitch black at night and we sat on top of multiple layers of history, everything from WW2 (decoy lights installed on the hill to draw German bombers away from nearby Manchester), crumbling grand houses born of the Industrial Revolution, English Civil War routes, all the way back to Bronze Age burial grounds. Too freakin' much to kindle the imagination, sometimes

I don't know if I could have stayed in that house. That would be too creepy. This place I'm in has so many windows that it's never really dark, but it's full of thud sounds, like heavy furniture dropping, and footsteps. It has a root cellar with old stone walls that would be creepy at night. The place where you used to live had to have more ghosts that you could count.

If I died and became a ghost, I would haunt the crap out of all the editors who rejected me.

I take the "wise ass" comment back...not that you aren't wise my friend...and I know you have an ass that is smart enough to know when to poop or not poop...but it occurs to me you have no idea what I am talking about when I make that comment...so, I take it back.

I had to look them up to see what you guys were talking about. I never knew about the Trinity symbolism, but I do know that at least some of the time there is something bad in my house. Next week we are working in the dining room where the dog barks, taking out the old plaster and putting in drywall. We usually get activity during any change.

I read where that was a strap on device. I believe the movie was based on the real life Johnny Wad, and the thing Wahlberg strapped on was small compared to him. I stayed at a friend's loft apartment years ago when he was out of town. He didn't have reception on the television but he had a million porno tapes and a VCR. I'm not into porno but there was nothing else to watch. So for a week. I watched things that I never thought people would do to be on film.

Anyone else want in on this large wang discussion?
