I have seen more than a few threads Bout Mr.Lee's stuff getting put on torrent sites. I have argued the point that the reason that sum of that stuff is on the torrent sites, is because his publisher simply never put the stuff the fans wanted out in ebook format. So fans made the ebooks themselves.

A prime example would be the first header, now common sense would dictate, if you release header 2 in ebook format, why not take the opportunity to format the first header into a ebook format, release both at the same time, and offer some kind of two for one deal, or combine both and make it one ebook.

IMHO, this is one time you need to place the blame with the publisher. So what do you guys and gals think of such a hot topic.

Every time you come on here, I have to explain how you are wrong. I am the head-editor of Deadite Press (one of Lee's publishers). HEADER and HEADER 2 are out in e-book. I'm not sure what your complaint is. As far as to why they are not offered together? They are from different publishers. Sorry but that's how it works. You have to buy them separately.

I'm not really sure what your problem is and why you only pop-up to talk shit on small press publishers that work hard to get books by your favorite authors out and available.

Congratulations on your successful business, Jeff. You clearly found a market niche. People love the books you publish. Many of them wouldn't exist or would be out of print if not for your efforts.
So Tym, in the time period you have used to complain about a process out of your control, a guy named Jeff Burk actually did something about it!

Tym is becoming some what of a national holiday. Around the same time of year the same old gripe rears its ugly head. Could we change the record? We get Header 2 was too expensive at the time. Its now out in ebook and paperback! I'd be lying if I said I had never downloaded, but it often has the OPPOSITE effect on me; when something is well done (especially works from our pal Ed Lee), I BUY THE FREAKING BOOK AFTERWARD.

It's not-so-odd how that works. I support artists I enjoy. I think it's often bullshit how much you have to pay for books, movies, etc., only to discover they SUCK and it's not like you can get your money back. If you're lucky, you get 10% on a used movie or book - and ZILCH for ebooks. I can't tell you how many authors I've supported after reading something of theirs I found online. For special authors like Ed that I REALLY enjoy, I go the extra mile and buy the expensive, signed versions, simply because I like the collectible factor.

If anyone's bitching about ebook prices... dude, go ahead. Yeah, the big guys screwed a lot of us, and now they're paying money BACK to consumers. Getting everything from pirating is a shitty way to be... but I don't begrudge people that do. I just think they're assholes.

I buy my copy of HEADER in Poland, it cost me 10$ & I'm proud of this fact.
Every my Lee's book is signed by author.
I love Necro, Deadite, Eraserhead and more.
So shut tha fuck up man, you're not a really fan.

Can someone ban this TROLL? It's very hard to refrain from telling him to go fuck himself each and every time. Most of us have been here for a very long time and to me, it feels like we are one big extended family. Not Mr. Troll though. He is not family and not even a real fan. I have no idea why he comes back because it is very clear that he is not wanted or appreciated. Just my two cents, which is about what Mr. Troll feels is an adequate wage for writing books. P.S. Hey Mr. Troll, my daughter just blew up her car two days ago and I know that I will have to help her finance a new one but I still dropped $60 bucks on SIXTY-FIVE STIRRUP IRON ROAD today.

Onto a more cheerful tangent! Thanks much to those of you who are supporting the Stirrup Road project. It's a great cause and a blast of a book. I'm not positive but I think the ebook will be available in short order as well. (Oh, and it looks like there's a foreign deal for Germany too.)
