Finished this very early this morning. I had been taking my time with it because it was just so dammed good I didn't want it to end. It will most definitely get a re-read soon.

It was a great story and, based on the Acknowledgements, Hill had a lot of good support behind him - not just family but great editors and pre-readers.

I cannot wait to see what he comes up with next. Heart Shaped Box and Horns pale in comparison to NOS4A2

I just took this off my bookshelf a couple days ago and was flipping through it. Can't wait to dive in, but it will be a little while before that happens (I'll get into that on a different thread).

Yeah, I know, its been two years now and I'm still pissed at what he did to me. I'm not one for holding grudges, but for some reason this still makes my kankels bloat. I still haven't opened the damn book.

It was when he signed my copy of Horns. It's a stupid thing really, and when it was all said and done, he signed it to Tom, and then when I repeated Tony twice, he tried to fix it. Sure, you can laugh...

Actually you can change the second hump in the "m" into a "y" very easily. Just put a katterwonker "j" really close behind it.

Well, I don't really think it's all that cool. Neil Young is not a topic I take lightly (not that I have anything against The Who or The Rolling Stones).

NOS4A2 is very good BTW. I read that Dr.Sleep contains references to NOS4A2. My second favourite Hill book after 20th Century Ghosts.

Horns and NOS are still on the pile. Sleep hasn't been delivered yet and having read an excerpt in Ent Weekly I suspect I might dive into that first.

I'd be mortified if I cocked up someone's book - wrong spelling or I didn't hear correctly, blotchy pen, muscles in fingers spasming and biro lines going all over the page.

About a hundred pages in, and this book is so darn good. I just kind of fall into the world he's created, much like I feel when reading his old man's books. Good genes, I tell ya.

450 pages in, and still loving it. Tony, you don't ever have to forgive Joe Hill, but you owe it to yourself to read this book.

March has just begun, but this book easily jumped to the #1 spot for my favorite book of the year, and it's going to take something incredible to knock it from that spot. It's got horror, it's got humor, but most of all, it's got heart. And finally, it's something that feels fresh and original, something that is sorely lacking in a lot of the books I read nowadays.

Two hearty thumbs up from me.
