Finally. Completed the 'hard' edit of Carousel's sequel. Holy crap. And it's no wonder I have shelves of vampire books, vampire dvd's; I have pictures of vampires on the walls and I've written four books about them. This writing gig becomes obsessive, it sinks beneath the skin and sucks the blood right out of you.

And I still don't know if this fucking thing will be any good.

There. I feel better now.

I'm hoping that come this time next year, I'm spending a semester in China or Thailand. The suck part is that I will have to leave my dog behind for the three months I'm gone.

There will be lots of pictures. My best friend and I are going to visit all ancient and strange sites. Not commercial sites. There is a henge with an alter that I can't wait to take a picture of. We are flying into Shannon, renting a car and then just driving where the wind blows us. We have a few must goes but other then that just an adventure for two woman. sounds fun right?

And no I am not taking the honey with me. He made it perfectly clear that he doesn't want to go overseas and he has no interest in looking at rocks. Well this is a bucket list item and I am going lol

It's in the album called March 23, 2011. There's only a few, I had about 100 of them but I didn't want to fill up the album.

And the one with me under the Tony's Sandtrap sign was taken in Dublin. Couldn't resist having the picture taken. : )

Currently looking for Ms. Holden on goodreads.com, I'm trying to update my TBR list. Maybe I'm doing the search wrong. It's been known to happen to me from time to time.

Job hunting sucks. Good news is that my school is hiring housekeepers. It's full time and pays $8/hour. If I can get it, I can work full time and go to school part time. Which will stretch out my G.I. Bill. If I can keep working there for a year, I get tuition assistance from the school which will pay for 6 credits a semester during the fall and spring and 3 credits a semester for the summer. Plus benefits to augment what I get from the VA.

Gotta get a new roommate. Current one just hasn't had the hours to pay his half of everything. Rent is due today and he is making no effort to try to do anything to come up with the money.

Read: "Stars In My Pocket Like Grains of Sand" by Samuel R. Delany (Bantam, 1983) and see what happens to Rat Korga when he encounters the bag of "cubes". It nearly melts his brain, or feels like it, anyway.

Hmm... story idea. I remember Robert posting some amazing library pictures. So - one of those, inhabited by an assortment of bloodsuckers - nosferatu types, timid, bookish, shadowy types creeping about with long fangs, a few dramatic Lord Byrons...

Spent most of the day here. Spectator only on this occasion, but I'm determined to put time aside and sign up for the next one:

A VERY interesting day. The guy teaching fighting cane wore a kilt and was scarily good. And I got to see longsword bouting in plate armour.
