That was some snowstorm! Just finished digging out a few minutes ago. Shoveled a safety path from my basement to the front of the house and shoveled a path to the mulch piles. Very sore last night, gonna be even more sore this evening I bet. But it is beautiful outside now, temps must be in the 40's and you can even see asphalt on the roads. My wife and a neighbor went snow shoeing and had a great time (I shoveled).

Nanci, how do I get pics from my IPod to my computer? I can't use my digital camera, it uses a c.d. and I want to fill it up before I finalize it. My phone does not have a camera.

Connection your iPod to your computer and it will open up the folder with the pictures. You can transfer the pictures to your computer and upload them that way.

Cool pics. Every dog we ever had loved traveling, although cats appear to be another matter. I remember seeing some cats up at the track, sat in the front windows of those big motor coaches, but ours always howled and howled, utterly miserable. Not that we ever took them to the race track. Maybe that was the problem.

Can't post to my blog, they've changed the format and none of the buttons will work. Facebook is hop, skipping and jumping and getting stuck. Other places keep telling me I'm keying in the wrong numbers and will I please try again.

It's days like this I'm happy I don't do online banking, because seriously, I'd have sent about ten grand I didn't have to God knows where by now.

My best friend called me this afternoon. She was in a freak accident this morning walking to the bus stop. She has to walk across an exit ramp to get to the bus stop. She was just stepping up on the island where the stop is located and was hit by a car. The kid driving hit an ice patch and the car fishtailed and hit her and tossed her about 6 feet into a snow bank (thank ceiling cat for the snow!). They took her to the hospital and they took x-rays and an MRI. Nothing was broken but she was sore and I think she's going to be even worse tomorrow.

She works at the NY Historical Society and has to go up and down a lot of stairs to get to the subway and there are tons of stairs at the museum so I don't think she's going to be able to go back to work for at least 2 weeks.

One of the few times I wish I were still up north; the last time was when Sandy took out my brother's house and cars.

School is going great. So far 3 A's and a B. Bad news is that I'm going to have to drop my minors so that I can graduate in time. I still have 6 months of Chapter 30 of my G.I. Bill and then 1 year of Post-9/11. Most fun class: Asian Art History. Instructor is from Poland and is very excited to teach the class. Not so fun class: Economics. Guy is from Uganda and has a thick accent and we've caught him making simple math errors. And sometimes what he teaches contradicts the book. As long as I stick with the book, I should be fine.

Couple of questions: Why do women act surprised when I talk to them? What are some good places to eat in New York City?

Woohoo! just found out that I got a student grant from the state for last year. Good news because I have to pay this summer semester out of pocket.

Last night could have gone better. Young lady I'm interested in saw me wlking toward her and she took off faster than a cat with its tail on fire. Don't know what that was about because we've talked after class before and seemed to hit it off. So...

Got an email from the school and we're going to be on an itinerary.

Someone broke into cars last night. My ex had her driverside back window broken out and the Pathfinder/D&D books stolen. Our neighbor on the other, had his brand new laptop and iPhone stolen out of his brand new car. Turns out that there were more than a dozen cars broken into last night. The problem with car alarms is that they go off so frequently that no one pays attention to them anymore.

Can someone please explain to my boss that you cannot work together if you cannot speak to each other. My god she pretty much gave us all no chit chat only work MUSH talk. Then later on she walked over to my desk that I was facing while my coworker was on the other side (at my back) doing paperwork and the first words out of her mouth were are you talking to Nicki Jody. I turned and looked at her and told her the truth..actually I am talking to my computer.
Seriously WTF. I can't work like that and it made me feel like a child
