It's not horror, but I just read David Morrell's excellent The Spy Who Came For Christmas. I think it comes out in November. |

I'm reading The Hollower by Mary SanGiovanni. It's pretty good so far. It jumps right into the cool stuff from the start. ![]() |

Listening to the last part of Stephen King's Cell. Last week I read Mark Morris' story "The Story of April and her Colours" which I liked a lot. Not as much as "What Nature Abhors" though. I also have a few I'm halfway through like Breeding Ground and The Bad Place. |

No worries, Nanci. It's been hectic around here as well. Actually I still owe you a file, you should be getting it any time today. |

Well, I finished Cell and really liked it. I think I'll also pick up The Hollower next. I'll also start The Ruins in audio. |

Mark Morris. The Deluge So far, it's great. Morris is on track of gaining me back as a reader. The only other novel of his I've read was The Immaculate, which I bought in Oxford many, many years ago. Lets just say I didn't like it. I finished it, but I really, really didn't like "The Shocking Twist!" towards the end. |

I have a ton of Bentley Little to read. Yes, I am ashamed of myself in that regard. |

I'm listening to Scott Smith's "The Ruins". After all the hype I saw the film and wasn't really impressed. I finally found the audiobook at Audible.com so I hope it's better. This weekend I also decided to read two new authors (well they always write together): Lincoln & Child. I've seen their books at the mall for ages but never really thought it would be something I'd like. However the other day I picked up The Relic, which I saw in film back in the 90s and liked a lot and I've been reading on the whole Pendergast saga, sounds nice. We'll see. Other than that, not much going on. I want to write, it's been a while. I'm revisiting a story I wrote a while back and just want to sit and write what comes to me. This coming week I go to the dentist. I cringe at the notion that it's just a matter of weeks before I need to have my last wisdom tooth pulled out. It's completely crooked but barely out which means it will be long and painful. Worse part is once again I'll have to survive only on soup and pudding ![]() |

I just finished Fetish by J.F. Gonzalez. It is more mystery or catch the killer than horror, but I liked it, though I think it could have been edited down a bit in some places. As for having your wisdom teeth removed, people react differently. Back in the early 80s my sister had hers removed--she whimpered and writhed for days unable to get out of bed. I had mine removed a year later. I was out with my friends playing D&D and going to a movie the next morning with only minor discomfort. |

I just started BRIDES OF THE IMPALER by Edward Lee. So far, it's exactly what I'd been hoping from a Lee vampire novel. |
