This was a tough one for me because they are both ones that I nominated. I love both novels a great deal. they are both british writers too. I have to go with Campbell's novel here though. BTW, for those who don't know what they are about: Incarnate by Ramsey Campbell is about an experiment involving prophetic dreamers which starts to warp reality. Haunted by James Herbert is about a man who travels around exposing the paranormal as frauds who gets an invition to travel to a haunted house to try and figure out what is happening. Once there he encounters the bizarre family that lives there and has trouble disproving the things going on in the house. |
