Do you ever write anything knowing that you will never let anyone else even have a glimpse at it. You do it just for your own enjoyment. I do that with something that I have been working on in one way or another since late Elementary school (I'm 36 now, so that has been some time ago). I made up thousands of my own super heroes and villians over the years and have a whole universe with a history and everything that has played through my mind for all those years. In highschool I started writing plot outlines for issues of series that I created, miniseries, spin-off series, etc. I bring this up because I spent about eight hours today trying to wrap up a series that I've worked on for years, so that I can stop thinking about it. That's a lot of time for something that only I will ever enjoy. I just wonder what drives us (if it isn't just me, that is) to invest that much time in something that will always remain secret? Any ideas?
