Anybody catch the real life haunting series on Discovery channel? I've only caught like two, and it's in Docu-drama format. They reinact like a movie, while interspersing interviews with the real people involved. Seems interesting enough. Discovery did something similar with the Jonestown Massacre too. While interesting, it seems that Discovery is getting a little far away from what they used to do.... |

I haven't caught any of these, but they sound eerily similar to something I caught on A&E a while back. I don't remember the series title of that one, but it was a docu-drama style hauntings show, too. I really hate that style for these types of shows. It's too hokey. Makes it seem like the series creators care more for the special effects than telling the story. When it comes to these types of shows, give me straight documentaries or give me . |

I haven't seen that one in particular but have seen similarly styled shows in the past. I really like a lot of the shows that A&E and The History Channel do that are specials on strange phenomena. THC used to have a great show about Haunting legends. I can't remember the name of the show now but, I remember an episode that was devoted to ghost ships that was very good. I have on tape, several shows that A&E put out years ago about The Haunted Castles of: Ireland, Scotland, England and Whales. They are all tremendous, and I pull them out to watch a few times a year for inspiration. ![]() |
