Hi
is it me or does anyone else think it is a real shame that www.edwardleeonline.com/ doesn't seem to have been up dated for a long time
an if so does anyone know why?

You're damn right it's a shame. I think Dave Barnett (necrodave) mentioned in the past that he plans to actualize the site but I am sure he has more important things to do. Perhaps some day someone will do it. I would do it myself but unfortunately I have (almost) no knowledge of that matter. |

I agree. Long before I found out about this site that is how I would find out about his new stuff from leisure horror. I never really knew at the time how to get his independant stuff or even that there was such a thing as an independant horror market. ~Tony Beals |

That site is controlled by Dave Barnett of Necro Publications. He is a very busy guy. He tends to not spend much time online and a few of his net outlets see rare updates . To my mind he has published some of the best books out there so I don't tend to complain! This Horror World site is one of the few places Ed visits |

I agree with, JPOKELA. This is the best place for all things Edward Lee. Not a lot of authors will take time out of there busy schedule to actually chat with us peasants  That's what makes Ed so awesome... not only is he the BEST horror writer working today, but he's a nice and personable guy who'll give you the time of day, so to speak... errrrr... at least I think he's nice  Just kidding. One could easily be fooled by the nasty stuff he writes, but Ed is a gentleman and a scholar.Don't get me wrong, it would be nice for Ed's online site updated, but until that happens I won't be complaining  -Travis |

While it is unfortunate that Edwardleeonline hasn't been updated (I'd love to see it done, BTW.), I agree that this board is THE place to go for Edward Lee information, news, and updates. From the news and updates of recently released and upcoming books from the publishing houses themselves, to Jpokela's publishing list (Not to mention my short story list), there is a Wealth of information to be had on these pages! Plus we get to hear from fans near and afar, as well as the ramblings of our favorite Header Maker himself, Sir Edward Lee!!! Other writers would pop off frog's heads to have pages such as this in their honor. And let us continue to keep it that way. Let us be the envy of all the other horror board pages. Stepping off my soapbox now.

I hope I didn't upset anyone by starting this topic, I agree I love this place and check it daily. Just a shame about his web page as its a great web page, again some authors have dreadful web pages, it's just sad thats all, and i have used that page to get some of my Ed Lee books. back to this page i do think it is ace that you can start a string and Ed jumps in every now and again and add his own thoughts. |

Folks: I'm very sorry about the website failure which are mainly due to me not getting off my ass and sending in update. My only excuse is that I'm so bogged down between 1) spending so much time at my mother's and 2)trying to maintain some semblance of a writing routine while having my writing output cut in half and 3) getting friggin' old! that I simply haven't had the energy to throw myself into this. I'll be seeing Dave B. this Sunday and will try to get my old butt on it cos I really do have a lot to add to the site (plus some cool new pixs!) Later, everyone! Best, Edward Lee |

Have a great Mother's Day with your Mom. Family is very important. If you feel this is something you need to do, do it! Staying true to yourself and your values is the only way forward. I spent much time with my Mom in the last few years. The rest of my life saw delays and some dropped projects but I did what I had to do. Things have calmed down now for me because Mom is now in an Alzheimer's care facility about 15 miles from me. My wife and I had Mom, three siblings and 20 other relatives over last night and a great time was had by all. I think everyone was yawning at the end except for Mom! Good luck, Ed.
