At the time of the Deadite Press 2011 announcement, some people contacted me over their fears that we wouldn't be doing any Edward Lee books this year. Fear not! This is what you can expect to see from Deadite Press and Edward Lee in 2011: Don't ask about release dates, cover art, or anything else about their release. Have patience, it'll be worth the wait. There will be a short story collection containing: Death, She Said Gut-Shot Hands Make A Wish Please Let Me Out The Blurred Room The Goddess of the New Dark Age The Order of Nature The Piece of Paper The Seeker The Table There will be a novel collection containing: Room 415 The Cyesolagniac The Decortication Technician And there will also be a reprint of Family Tradition and . . . HEADER If there's something you wanted to see reprinted that's not on this list, have faith. There are still many more Edward Lee books from Deadite Press to come. |

That's fantastic news, especially for the Family Tradition and Header reprints. Although I already own the three titles in the novella collection I will get this one too. Haven't even heard of Gut Shot and The Blurred Room before. |

Very excited to get my hands on a copy of Header...and the short story collection too of course. With my income taxes back and since i've started school again, and should be gettin my g.i. bill money comin in a couple weeks it should help free up some money to buy some of Lee's more expensive hardcovers. ~Tony Beals |

Great news, I'll buy all of those! I'm also very happy to see that MAKE A WISH will be included in the second volume of short stories. It will probably surprise a bunch of people since it's not your usual Ed Lee story, which is precisely why I have refused to shut up about it for the past few years. |

Can't thank you all enough for your enthusiasm, nor can I thank Deadite enough for their interest, hard work, and efficiency. And, yes, that's terrific news that the current owners of the Header print rights have finally agreed to let it be released. I remember proofing the original text about a year ago--or maybe two, jeez, time flies--and was surprised how much fun it was even given my familiarization with it,plus the fact that so much time (over ten years) had passed since I'd last read the text. I hope none of you are disappointed. Take care and be well! Edward Lee I |

I am more than a little excited for these upcoming Lee collections but I still haven't heard where Gut-Shot and The Blurred Room are from. New stories or simply older unpublished stories? Can anyone shed a little light on these two? |

When Deadite finally publishes HEADER, I hope they'll put "NOW A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE!!" somewhere on the cover. Because that'd be awesome. |

Did a little digging. Still can't find anything on Blurred Room, but Gut-Shot was either supposed to be released or was relased on a Cd-Rom anthology. Hopefully, Ed will shed more light on these. Once we find out what they were a part of, I'll add them to the short stories list. |

Just wanted to say thanks to Jeff and the Deadite crew for all your doing for us hardcore Lee fans that aren't so lucky to have these hard to find and or costly old stories. I'm sure all of us here on the board feel the same. It's greatly appreciated!!! Cant wait for Header!! Regards!! |

I should've mentioned previously, The Blurred Room was the original title/version of my 999/Year's Best Mysteries story ICU. It's more than slightly different, and long-term fans may find it interesting that it's one of the very first stories I ever wrote (mind you, it was polished more than a few times before publications!) I actually wrote it originally for a college writing class in, like, 1980 or thereabouts! Later, Edward Lee |

Deadite, your turn around is great you say 'coming soon' and its there in about a month. I bet your sick of this question but what part of the year are we expecting Header to be released? and the 3 story collection looks very interesting too! |
