I wonder if these came with the hardcover version? Maybe as a preorder bonus? Anyone know?

I was offered one for sale many years ago. I declined. The seller said it had been hand painted by Mr, Edward Lee himself! Ed, any comments here? |

Oh, the Goon Doll! That's another think I'd forgotten about. They were indeed painted by John Pelan and I. As I recall we bought discounted Bane dolls. Then John's wife got some kind of glue to make the burgeoning crotches. I think, too, we made them to order, and sold maybe 7 of them? Or maybe more. I do remember being grateful for the appearance of the money (which I spend almost exclusively at the bar!) I had a doll for myself but I believe it got crushed in a moving box (or did I step on it accidently one night--drunk?) Best, Edward Lee |
