Folks: sorry, as I've said so many times, that I've been absent from the board for so long. My "Witch-Water" deadline fast approaches (August 1st); I'll be able to make it but it's tough since I'm still spending 2 weeks per month up north helping my mother. What I can report, though, is that the book is really cool. I LOVE writing it. I'll keep you all posted as to the progress. Until then, take care, be well, and thanks for your support! Best, Edward Lee |

Hey Edward. Family matters first. I just got over a 3 year period with spending a couple days a week at my mom's house 60 miles away. I know you have plane flights and a greater time commitment. It was worth it for me. My life is fuller because I did what was important and right. Larry Roberts reports you are doing another novel for Bloodletting Books in the same vein as TROLLEY. This is fantastic news for me! TROLLEY was the most involving read I have come across in a long, long time. Your love for the language comes across loud and clear! In the "what are you reading" thread you are always saying it is Lovecraft and M.R James that gives you a kick! Follow your interests, man. Follow your interests!! |

I am sure I am not alone, but no need to apologize to us! I think it is awesome that you help your mom out so much, write with the output and quality that you do, and still take time to chat to us fans. Appreciate it. Look forward to Witch-Water. |

Yes, folks, Wetbones is correct, PAGES torn is a pastiche. It's written in my attempt at HPL's style but in the guise of a travelouge (Lovecraft traveled extensively and, as was the case with his letters, probably wrote more travel journals than fiction.) I'm not such when PAGES TORN will be out but I can say it's pretty cool and had a few surprises. Can't remember if I mentioned it, but after I'm done with my current novel, I'm back to work on ANOTHER HPL pastiche, (partially done already), a sequel to The Dunwich Horror entitled The Dunwich Romance. There's...some sex in it... Take care! Edward Lee |

My nomination for Ed Lee understatement of all time - "There's...some sex in it..." I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Too funny ..... |

Ed, Thanks for the update...and I have hardly been online over ther past few months....as I posted in Dave B's topic, I've been going thru some on my own personal stuff and just moved out my house and into my own digs closer to work. Getting divorced and shortselling our house....and while it has been tough, ultimately, this is a good thing (for me!). And I've been back to working on my own writing...started something new early in the year and when the S hit the fan after Easter, I couldn't focus on writing....but got back into it about a month ago and cranked out about 70 pages in about 3 weeks! Haven't been back to it since I got ready for my move and now unpacking all my stuff....but I can't wait! It's a werewolf novel (with a twist) called PRIMAL. Take care, man...hope the family stuff gets easier... Chris |
