I know this is off-topic, but I figured you fellow Lee fans appreciate some good Italian horror. Just received The Beyond, City of the Living Dead, The House by the Cemetary, and The New York Ripper. Zombie is on its way. What does everyone think of Fulci and his films? Bob

I really liked House By the Cemetary, and City of the Living Dead. I have Zombie, but haven't had time to watch it yet. I think I saw it in a theatre back in the 80's....if it is the same movie, it is pretty cool. Enjoy your movies and let us know what you think!

House by the Cemetary was horrible! But City of the Living Dead was classic! Still have Zombie, The Beyond, and New York Ripper to go. Bob

Whaaat? I liked House By The Cemetary! It was a little cheesy, but I still liked the story! Let me know how Ripper is...that is one I would like to check out, if it's good!

Fulci is cool, but I prefer Dario Argento much more. Suspiria is a true masterpiece.

Agreed with Argento. My fav director, and Suspiria is most definitely a classic. Just expanding out a little bit with different directors to see what they have to offer, and am loving me some Fulci so far! Bob

House by the Cemetery is my favorite too; but I like most o f Fulci's work; he had a style all his own, like Bava and Argento, but in a different sense. Loved City as well; Christopher George, God love him! I've only seen The Beyond as 7 Doors of Death which I understand is cut. But my all-time favorite Fulci scene: the Lounge Chair in Don't Torture a Duckling@

He's directed plenty of horrible garbage but also a few very, very good films. My favorites of his, in no particular order: The Psychic aka Seven Notes in Black, Lizard in a Woman's Skin, Conquest, Contraband and Don't Torture a Duckling. I'm not much of a fan of his horror and zombie flicks though I do have fond memories of watching a German dubbed VHS of City of the Living Dead and am looking forward to some day revisiting that on Blu-Ray.

I haven't seen Touch of Death or some of the other ones people have listed. The New York Ripper is violent in a mean spirited, serious way. House by the Cemetery, Zombie and The Beyond are the only ones I have seen more than once and I can remember much about. The Nipple scene in New York is brutal!
