I'm still seeing a release date as Dec. 31st 2009, but the book doesn't appear to be out. I was just wondering. Thanks. Lthrby1/Pete |

Pete, I posted a link below that will direct you to Bloodlettings forum. Larry, the publisher, is amazing at getting back to questions, and there are a couple of threads concerning GOING MONSTERING. Bob http://www.horror-mall.com/forums/index ... d283611670 |

Gee, great way of pushing somebody's board. LOL. If I want to see the threads, I have to register and become a member. Actually, I did join, but it's not a board that I would visit often, as it doesn't look right on my webtv system. Lthrby1/Pete |

What motivation would I have to 'push' a board. Just trying to help you out for the publisher knows more than anyone when the book will be out. |

No, you didn't get it. You printed the links that had the info, but you didn't tell me that I had to be a member in order to see it. I thought it was funny in a twisted sort of way, hence the LOL. Seriously though, thanks for the info. Lthrby1/Pete |

Earlier this week I preordered a copy from Camelot Books. A little later that day I received an email that said they expected it in sometime around the middle or later half of February. Not sure if that will remain true. |

Same here Jamey, same here. I'm really excited to see what Larry/Bloodletting Press will do with this book. And if it's as extreme what's been said, then damn, what a ride it'll be reading it. |

I sent an e-mail to Bloodletting Press about this, and according to them, they are "hoping" to ship this in the next couple of weeks. Looking forward to it! |

Folks: sorry about the delays (but of course we're all used to them these days) but I can guarantee that this book will be gorgeous to look at and a delightful gross-out thrill. I re-read some of it recently and kept feeling so impressed with myself that I felt ashamed. I think this book will blow some readers' minds! Edward Lee |

Is this ever going to be released as a paperback at a more normal price? |

John: yes, down the road there will be a trade paperback that Bloodletting will do as well, and it will be cheaper. I really hope people like this book--it's a ton of fun. Best, Edward Lee |

I am all for cheaper editions. But clearly Mr. Edward Lee deserves to be decently compensated for his contributions to our world. The publisher needs to make a living to reward his efforts to market these possibly ephemeral words. The typical system works. More expensive, nicer editions for those who like such things or just can't wait, then a more affordable edition for the more sane members of our society. On the other hand, Cory Doctorow has charted his profits publicly in doing it another way, that being simultaneous digital, trade and hardcover. He does not see any drop-off in his profitability, in fact I believe he thinks he does better. He is willing, however to do a shitload of marketing, blogging, traveling, etc. He has more on his plate than pretty much 5 other authors. He likes busy. I know I like nice hardcovers. Twenty years ago I couldn't afford them. Tell me when I quit making sense. Sometimes it is hard to tell if I am making a point or if my head is just getting more pointed....... |

Nearing halfway through the book. Great fun. Almost vomited once. Feeling a little queasy just recalling it......... |

Just recently finished my copy, and all I can say is BRUTAL, BRUTAL, BRUTAL!!!! I felt so dirty after finishing it, I feel like I need to go to confession. After reading this, I'm glad I never went to college and joined a fraternity. Just think if some of the "initiations" in here actually take off-YIKES!!! |

Oh, I'd forgotten about Goon. The first year of the World Horror Gross Out contest, the corn on the cob scene won, and the second year, the "Ghoula" scene won. Ghoula's backside makes Kezzy's look lke fresh angel food cake. Later! Edward Lee |
