Are there ANY novels or short stories, chaps, etc., that for either publishing reasons or personal reasons, you would not forsee getting a reprint, and if so, why? Thanks as always Ed. Lthrby1/Pete |

I'm gonna jump in and ask a question too. Awhile back on the Necro site in the "Future Books" section it was said that Ghouls was getting re-issued with the hardcover treatment but now it seems that it's been taking off the site. So are the plans still on or what? |

Now that you mention it, I'm not sure what the status is for a reissue of GHOULS. My only guess is that it got back burnered due to the economy (in a recession, when sales are down, folks are more likely to buy new books than older reprints.) But that's just a guess. When I hear more, I'll let you know. Thanks! Edward Lee |

That might come down the road but Ive actually never been too keen on digital for new small press stuff. I'm a dinosaur, I like physical books 'cos I don't like to contemplate a world without them. I think Necro has Coven, Incubi, Succubi, and The House on Kindle, however. Who knows, maybe I'll get with the program! Edward Lee |

Additionally, the digital thing kind of scares me; with my luck a week after if came outin that format, there would be bootleg sites offering free downloads to anybody. Not to sound greedy, but I do need to make a buck on occasion! Older stuff, I'm sure, will be made available in that format eventually, but as long as they're still selling in trade pb's, I'm more comfortable with that. Thanks for your interest, and take care! I like to hold a book in my hands. I think if everything goes digital, authors will not make a cent because everyone will download for free like they do with movies and music (and I'm just as guilty as anyone). Plus, it's nice to have signed and numbered/lettered copies of books. I have never purchased a digital book or downloaded one because that's a realm that should stay old school. Keep writing and I'll keep buying and reading! |

I as well am the same way. I'd much rather hold it in my hands than just look at it on a screen. The same with cds. Instead of just listening to the files, I'd rather hav ethe artwork in my hands while I'm listening to it. I'm gonna be really bummed when music goes to digital downloads only. |

I got a wonderful surprise recently, however, regarding Kindle sales of my older stuff: a big royalty check. I was astonished. Probably most of what Necro reprints will eventually wind up in that format as well. As much as I prefer physical books, I guess I need to acknowledge that there are some fans who don't. Funny how money conspires to turn me into a hypocrite! Later, all! Edward Lee |
