Got a copy of HP Lovecraft's 'Haunter of the Dark', and am going to dive in tonight before I start Lee's 'Haunter of the Threshold!" Consider me stoked. Bob |

I'll have to browse through my books and see if Haunter is one of the Lovecraft stories I own. Been years since I read my Lovecraft tales. |

The Lovecraft story was very thick with atmosphere, and although it was tough going in the beginning to lose myself in the narrative, once I found it, I got lost in the mind of Robert Blake. Turned out to be quite rewarding and am now craving other Lovecraft. I then opened up 'Haunter of the Threshold'. I told my girlfriend that I WILL be in bed by 9 (on a Friday night no less) to start my new Ed Lee novel. Lee, I gotta tell you, the 1st page continued the narrative from Lovecraft's 'Haunter' in atmosphere and language. I thought I was reading his story rather than yours and I think that is amazing; especially considering that you weren't necessarily trying to channel Lovecraft's 'voice'. I read about 30 pages, and got lost in New Jersey. Won't spoil anything for anyone, but you pulled a doozer of a twist on me! Anxiously await getting off of work today so I can go back to Jersey and continue... Bob |
