Hey, everyone, sorry I haven't been on the board in a while, I just got back from a week-long trip in MD helping a relative. Now it's back to work: gotta finish proofing the galley for BLACK TRAIN (almost done, and loving it) and inputting final typo corrections into HEADER 2. Tomorrow I'm back to work on THE SIXTUS (which won't be the title,not sure what will yet) I'm really digging SIXTUS; at first I thought it would be a pain in the ass because I'm essentially turning a novella (the upcoming "The Senary") into a full length novel via two subplots; but I'm really having a blast 'cos the subplots are pretty diverse. the book is due Nov. 1st but I think I'll be done much earlier. Then I start HEADER 3, first, as a screenplay, then as a novel. I'm so jazzed up about it, I find myself giddy all the time, especially when walking on the beach. People probably think I'm nut but...so what! Also, I may have just discovered THE GREATEST LINE IN THE HISTORY OF CINEMA. It's from Doris Wishman's flick, HIDEOUT IN THE SUN, and here's the line. "This isn't a country club! It's a NUDIST camp!" Beats the hell out or "rosebud," huh? Thanks, always, for your support, and have a great week! Best, Edward Lee |

Hey Lee! Glad to hear you're back safe. Hope everything is okay with the family. Looking forward to Black Train, Header 2 (and 3 in the near future) and the Sixtus. Sounds like you are busy Mr. Lee... and that's just how I like you. It's been a great year for siction and in a couple of days it's fixing to get even better when my copies of 'Haunter' arrive, and then it's straight into 'Trolley Number 1852', and then 'Black Train' which even though I've read 'GAST', with some changes in it that's reason enough for me to go for a re-read. Maybe by then 'The Innswich Horror' will be ready to ship. I watched 'HEADER' the other day and thought it was a blast, great to see you and Jack Ketchum in it. I had no idea you smoked, I know Jack Ketchum did, I seen an interview with him and he smoked like a whole pack in 5 minutes. If you don't mind me asking... what brand do you smoke? Jack: glad you dug HEADER. Oddly enough, I bought a "electronic" cigarette last week and the damn thing KICKS ASS. I've only smoked 3 cigarettes today instead of a PACK. (I used to smoke Main Streets and Pyramids--cheap generics that weren't bad.) But try the Electronic cigarette, serious. 30 bucks on Amazon (I bought the one called Health e Cigarette, plus one bottle of Johnson Creek Smoke Juice to refill the cartridges). I thought the thing was a gimmick, too good to be true. But it's FOR REAL. I'm still kind of mystified by how well it works. Later! Edward Lee PS--I really am mindblown over HAUNTER. Just got back into town myself. And waiting for me was a package with HAUNTERS inside. Solid sweet looking book. Premium production. Slightly too heavy for my tastes but with the ;eather binding and the way the pages lay flat I know i will have no problem getting lost in the story. I down-loaded HAUNTER OF THE DARK by Lovecraft as you suggested and now I am ready to read your HAUNTER. Congrats on all your recent success and more headers is better headers I always say. |
