Hey everyone I have a question that has been bugging me for a long time and hopefully you all could help me out. I have most of Lee's books in hardcover through Necro and they do a great job with everything. I always enjoy how amazing the covers look but....is it just my copy or were all copies like this? With my copy of Flesh Gothic the dustjacket looks....well just bad. It looks like it was printed from thick printer paper and I can't really tell anything in the coverart. I hate to bitch at anything but I've always been curious what was up with that. If anyone could help me out on this, it'd be great. |

I know what you mean---I have the HC, too, and I have no idea what was going on there!? It looks like maybe they were going for something atmospheric, but I couldn't tell you for sure what is on the cover. A house in the background and a semi-nude chick in the foreground? The latter may be my overheated imagination  !!

This should tell you how old I am, but I can't remember the HC cover! I'm fairly sure Eric Wilson did the art, and then some graphical treatment was put on it. I always liked it, but maybe you got a flawed one--if so, I'm terribly sorry! Best, Edward Lee |

I never noticed this till you mentioned it. I pulled mine out and I believe that the lower right is the mansion/house and the red thing in the upper right is a demon of some sort (like the ones watching her while she is pleasing herself). It does have a creepy feel to it and I do think it leaves it up to interpretation. Demon or naked lady... up to you!  But you are right Ed, it was done by Wilson.
