Yesterday I decided to pick this short up and give it a read. I'm ashamed to say it's been sitting on my bookshelf for over a year now unread. I don't know exactly what I was expecting but I received a fantastically disgusting story. Room 415 is definitely up there now with my favorite Lee stories. It was disgusting, depraved and sadistic. All the things that make a good Edward Lee book! Thank you so much for this little treasure Mr.Lee! Now I will have to seek out the ultra limited edition of it so I can read the alternate ending. |

Adam: as I recall, the alternate ending for Room 415 is availble only in the deluxe hc of THE DAMNED ANTHOLOGY by Necro and is probably impossible or very expensive to get. Don't confuse this with the hc letter chapbook of Room 415, cos that's not the ending you're referring to. The difference in the endings are thus: the one in the DAMNED deluxe was MUCH more nihilistc, but shorter, while the ending in the chapbook is probably more entertaining due to the revenge motive.
