The Piece of Paper one of 802
The Table #33 of 100
I have two lettered sets of BOMB and KILL THE ENEMY

Thank you Mr. Lee!
I keep finding more items in my collection of your work! It turns out I have 4 softcover copies of INSIDE THE WORKS. I have had a chance at a couple of the 100 hardcovers but have never gone for them at the price offered.
Due to my interest in the writings of Mr. Lee I also ended up with a pretty much complete collection of Necro Press publications. On a defunct website we had listed the entire press run. I am not totally sure if I still have all the info. If there is any interest I will see if I still have the list and post it at Horror World's Necro division.

Indeed my Ed Lee collection is summin I'm proud of & that my family, (now ex) partner (bitch.... I'm not bitter ....honest) & friends don't really understand the appeal of & simply humour me about when I get all excited 'bout finding a mint Diamond edition of Succubi pretty cheap. So here's what I have & am proud to own by Mr Lee.

The Pig & The House HB #160 of 300
Creekers HB #276 of 400
The Ushers HB #94 of 250
Ever Nat PB #39 of 300
Sleep Disorder HB #431 of 750
GAST HB #245 of 435
Quest For Sex Truth & Reality PB #25 of 300
Mr & Miss Torso PB #80 of 300
Mother PB #82 of 400
The Baby PB #52 of 300
Bomb PB #588 of 600
Kill The Enemy PB #588 of 600
Room 415 PB #381 of 400
Partners In Chyme HB letter J
Header PB #4 of 500
The Bighead PB #157 of 400
Splatterspunk HB #45 of 550
Haunted House HB #117 of 500
The Minotauress HB #140 of 400
Makak PB #51 of 300
Eyes Left PB #52 of 500

Other signed books I have
Incubi PB
Succubi PB
Coven PB
The Stickmen HB
Shifters PB
Portrait Of The Psychopath.... PB
Transcendence COMIC
Monster Lake PB
Dahmers Not Dead HB
Opereator B PB
Masks PB

Pride of place however goes to the hand corrected & signed manuscript of THE MINOTAURESS I have in my possesion :v Groovily it still smells of cigarettes.

I think part of the appeal of Ed's work is the mass of diffrent editions & collectibles there are out there. For example I enjoy Bentley Little but by comparison his output is distinctly rather boring (one paperback a year).

So keep with it Ed & all the best to everyone here.

Hey lrthby1. Reading this cool shit is fun. When you get older and have a bit more money then switching to hardcovers is something to do. I think we all want this great stuff available to anyone who wants to read it.
But money gets in the way. Edward Lee deserves to make a living hanging out over his keyboard saying shit like " Wait till they get a load of this!!". And publishers of this stuff are mostly fans also who try to make a living producing things that people will buy. And some of us like real nice books and can finally afford them. I made the switch from paperbacks to HCs after my kids finished school.
But bottom line it would be great if all the writing ended up in affordable editions. I don't think too many people would argue with that!!

Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

I'll be 37 in 2 weeks, so age really has nothing to do with it. It's just a matter of cash flow, which is really tight for almost everyone right now. Were this 5 years ago, I'd have bought all of his books and thought nothing of it. At that time, money was flowing freely, and I actually even spent 225 dollars on a cd! At that time, I was paying for a house that I never saw because I was always somewhere else other than home. Unfortunately, now things are different and other things take priority. I've been bidding on the Minotauress on Ebay, but always come up a little short. Believe me, Edward Lee WILL be on my christmas wish list, and my after Christmas list.

Hate to say it but half the time that's been me winning those Minotauresseses. I can't stop bidding on those Shocklines auctions. But I am gonna stop. Right now. No more Minos. I got enough. But then Horror Mall puts the lettered version on sale for $90. Jeez. They got three of them at that price. I got mine from Necro @ $100.
It is a great story. Couple guys from THE BIGHEAD make it in there. Dicky and Balls in their younger days.
So. Should I pick up more lettereds cuz the price is right and the story is great? Hmmm. I got a bunch of SLITHERs also. Maybe I need a lettered of that one. And lettered CREEKERS from Camelot. Fuck the mortgage. Me and my books can live in a box or something. shit works out. NP.

Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

JPOLEKA: you're hardcore! I LOVE the Minotauress; it was so much fun to write, especially the Dicky & Balls back-story. One day I'm fairly sure I'll write a sort-of sequel, which might not include the Minotauress and/or the Spermatagoyle but instead will be a return to Ephriam Crafter's house. (There's still several more dorrs to be opened there.) Incidentally, I just got my PC lettered of Mino and really dig the job Necro did. Thanks ad infinitum for your support; the same goes for all of you!

Babaganoosh: yes, the deluxe lettered of THE USHERS is supposed to have the additional (and shameful) short-short called "The Cadaver." However, I dimly recall several reports that this story "fell out" of the book, as it had been tipped in instead of bound in. These things happen sometimes, but I very much regret if any of you had paid good money for this edition without those pages.

Hope all's well with you all!

Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

My copy still has The Cadaver in there... intact. Thank God. I would have lost my mind if it wasnt... I paid way less then I have seen it sell for however.

I loved the metal traycase for the Minotauress too. I thought it looked real sharp. And the Dicky and Balls backstory... what a treat! ;)

Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

Yeah. Makak comes up on EBAY auctions maybe 10 to 12 times a year. Chyme is tougher than that to find. I sold my last spare about 6 months ago. At some point I will probably sell my Makak. But not yet. I keep waiting for Matt to trot out a couple at his Shocklines auctions but to the best of my knowledge he has yet to put anything he published up on EBAY. If he does have a hardcover MAKAK still for sale......even a PC.... Christ. I suppose that will be a battle.
I was buying Ed Lee books from him when he was giving away the Makaks as freebies w/ every Lee order. He slightly screwed up one of my buys and then sent me three of them with the re-shipment. At one point I had 5 of them!! I know I gave away a couple to people who bought expensive books from me.
I sure wish Mr. Edward Lee would get another short story collection on the market. (hint hint)
That HAUNTED HOUSE collection from Overlook Connection only whetted my appetite!
Now if Mr. Edward Lee wrote a sequel to THE DRITIPHILIST(Ed's story in PARTNERS IN CHYME) and used that as a new story in a collection........
There's just no end to the madness. No end......

Author:  Edward Lee [ Mon Nov 17, 2008 8:15 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

JPOLEKA: yes, I know I should do another short story collection and will when the time is right. There won't likely be a "sequel" to Dritiphlist but I do have two more stories (one completed, and one I'll write within a year) which compliment what I think of as my Man With A Problem theme (Ever Nat, Dritiphilist, The Baby, Room 415). The finished one is called THE CYESOLAGNIAC; the one I want to write soon will be something like PAPPILAMANIC. You can easily discern what they entail! As I've mentioned in the past, two more stories that I'll definitely write are indeed sequels: MR. TORSO'S DAUGHTER and THE BIGHEAD'S AUTOPSY (in fact, very recently I worked out a plot problem in autopsy that's been plaguing me for a long time), but before I do those, I must write a sequel to HEADER, which I'm hoping to do this summer. But your suggestion has given me an idea: maybe I'll talk to a publisher soon about possibly doing a mini-collection containing Drit, The Baby, Ms. Torso, Hands, and a brand new piece. Hmm...

Thanks and take care!

Edward Lee

Post subject:  Re: Edward Lee Numbered

That would be a great little collection. I still have not read Ms. Torso or The Dritiphilist. I, like JPOLEKA would absolutely LOVE to see a big short story collection. The stories I would be excited to see back in print are:

The Deviltry of Elemental Valence (from Skull Full of Spurs)
Seeing You Again (from Bad News)
Still Life (from Imagination Fully Dilated) and
The Scarlet Succubus (from Zothique:The Lost Continent)

As I have not been able to get my hands on any of these anthologies. I do however have the Taverns of the Dead book with the story, The Order of Nature which I thought was great.

All in all though I'm happy with whatever you put out.

Ok . Man with a problem. I pulled out my handy 12 pound dictionary and found out what the cyesolagniac might want to do with his or her spare time. I also found a papilla. Double ell no double pee.
A man with a problem. Don't we all. But only a very special few deserve to be immortalized. Keep up the good work! Now I got to go clean up after Grampa's party. Adult diapers, grape jelly everywhere, packing peanuts, abused copies of Good Housekeeping. Christ I wish that guy would get Alzhiemers or something.
