Jdamen: last Sunday I turned in The Innswich Horror to Cemetery Dance; it wound up being 47,000 words so I think (at least by HWA standards) it qualifies as a novel. Couple days ago I started the second Lovecraft project, Haunter of the Threshold; it'll probably be 50k words, but it's contemporary (and full of smut, I'm afraid) but should be really cool as well. Brides comes out in pb in late August, and then The Golem should be out in pb June-ish 2009. Try to make the Horrorfind Convention this August I'll be there with Jack Ketchum--it'll be a blast. Hope all's well with you, and thanks for all your suport! Best, Edward Lee |

I joined the CD book club just to get my hands on the exclusive Ed Lee book, and I'm down for 2 copies of Darkness At the Edge of Town by Brian Keene, just so I can get 2 copies of Ed Lee's Haunter of the Threshold. You've cost me quite a bit of money so far this year Mr. Lee... but you know what? I just don't care. Your stories are well worth the money, and I'm prepared to eat rations of grubs and worms to save up the scratch to spend on your books. |

Wow, man, that's some serious money but thanks so much for your support. I think I can safely say that Haunter of the Threshold will be a mind-blow... Thanks, and take care! Edward Lee For your amusement, here's the first line of the book: Just as you begin to urinate, the bearded man with the gun lopes into the bathroom. |

'lopes' what a cool word, much better than leapes or lunges. I like the sound of it allready. Thanks for the sneak sneak peek. |
