| Post subject: | Exploring the themes of City Infernal |
Hello Mr. Lee & fans, I'm currently in the process of writing ISU novel logs in an 11th grade college english class & of course I have chosen to read City Infernal for said project. I've done one log that displays connections between Hell as portrayed in the novel & Hell as portrayed through many religions. I've also done a log on responding emotionally (empathizing with a character), as well as one that compares the Mephistopolis to a city on earth (Detroit, Toronto, ect.) I have 7 more logs to write & for the next one I am looking to explore the theme of the novel & could use a little help from anyone else who has read this amazing book. Just provide me with some secondary themes found in the novel as well as the one general message/theme. I very much appreciate all your help sincerely. Thank you, CorpseGrinder. |

CG666, Maybe you could "compare and contrast" the levels of Lee's hell with those of Dante. Though that sounds more like a Masters or PhD. Best of luck with it, and here's hoping your teacher is open-minded (they can read Horncranker, perhaps, to become moreso). Pegleg |
