I haven't checked out the link yet, but I have recently received and read "The House" and I consider it one of the best horror books I have ever read (and I have read a ton of Little, Laimo, Gonzales, Lee, Ketchum, etc.). I am by no means an expert, but I have read a few in my day... For some reason, I will always remember the characters in that book (especially Sissy and Snowdrop) much more so than most other horror literature I have read, and well, you can't say the book doesn't have enough gore in it... ![]() GREAT book, Mr. Lee. Certainly one of my favorites of yours to date! I am extremely glad for the reprint. And I have to mention that I LOVE that you sign all the Necro trades. I don't really mean to sound like a fanboy, but guess what? I am. ![]() THANK YOU! |

I, too, consider THE PIG to be one of Ed's finest works and THE HOUSE surprised the hell out of me by being a rock solid sequel. Hopefully the paperback will ensure these two find a lot more readers because they definitely deserve it. |

The "Shake-A-......." (I don't want to spoil anything) scene will always be an extremely memorable scene for me. I agree that it was an awesome sequel, in further ways I will not spoil! ![]() |

Wetbones & Abacab: thanks much for the kind words. I can say that, despite the long period of time between each project, I had a BLAST writing each. I think there'll be more "Vinchetti" stuff to come down the road. Best! Edward Lee |

Personally, I find The Pig and The House extremely funny. And Ed Lee is a really exceptionally good writer. Edward, I don't know how else to get in touch with you!. I am a good friend of Pic and Dallas and TM, so there you go. You are a very fine writer with a hell of a lot of talent and need to de-genre if you wanna pay the bills. However good and terrific fun all this edgy stuff is, I know you can do much more. |

Christine: oh, I'm well aware of the benefits of de-genre-ing. If I'd switched to crime thrillers 15 years ago as I almost dig, I'm sure I'd be rich. But I'd also be unhappy. I do have somemainsteam projects lined up for the future; however--market permitting--I still got a LOT of horror to write! Thanks for your support and interest! Best, Edward Lee |
