If it's signed as well then it's a no brainer. It's the edition I'll be picking up. |

Just checked, overlook said signed but didn't say by one or the other, but the bloodletting books pre-order page says "signed by both authors" |

I'm pretty sure it's signed by both. But is it out now then? Has anyone actualy got their hands on the new copy? I thought I got an e-mail saying it was out, but no one I know has it yet. |

Amazon says it's available, but it doesn't specify if it is signed or not. Heres the link. http://www.amazon.com/Teratologist-Inte ... 675&sr=1-1 |

I'm 99 percent sure it's signed by Wrath and myself but I guess you could ask the pubilsher via his website, Overlook Connection. Best, Edward Lee |

My copy arrived today and yes, it is signed by both. I was lucky enough to get the original hardcover version signed by both at Horrorfind West in Phoenix. I like to call this in the middle of TERATOLIGIST ![]() ![]() |

Thanks for the info Tod. I have read the story (awesome tale), but it was a friend of mines copy. I still wanted my own and this one sounds like the one for me. |

I know this is an old topic but I have a question relating to the 'Medium Rare Books' edition of The Teratologist. How many hardcovers and softcovers were printed and are they signed or what? I just bought a hardcover edition out of the UK on Ebay and it failed to mention any info. Can someone please fill me in? Thanks. I already have the signed limited edition through Overlook but I just couldn't pass up the price of the one I got. And not to mention, I think the cover art is amazing. |

I may be incorrect but I'm pretty sure both pb and h/c are signed. I do remember Wrath and I signing what we were told was the entire print run at the Kansas City WHC, and I'm thinking it was 500 or maybe 750 copies total. I'd check my copies of the book for the limitation but, lo, they're in storage. (I think I only have one of each left.) It was a ton of fun to write; Wrath is an ideal collaborator. Thanks for your support! Edward Lee |

I'm really keen on reading this story but the price is pretty steep and is putting me off. It's not that I can't afford £16 or $30+ but it seems way over the top for what seems to be a short book when I'm used to paying half that. I guess the same could be said of Minotauress and I'm glad I spent the cash on that because it's one of the best things I've ever read. Why is this stuff so expensive though? |

I just took a look at Bookfinder.com and entered this book. Copies are as low as $18. Small press publishing is a hands on, do it yourself type of business. Publishers with a bit of money aim to print as many copies as they think will sell out in a year or so. Right now I see some guys printing only as many copies as will sell out right after building the book. If you don't order the hardcover by the order date, there will not be a copy for you! Some books end up being very popular and the demand exceeds supply and the price goes up. Other books totally suck and their asking price drops faster than car company stock. At this point in the economic cycle people, including publishers, are being very careful. This shows up in the number of printed copies of a book like Ed's TROLLEY 1852. This book will be a rare one forever more. As far as John Turi and Medium Rare Books, well, that is a tale best told over a campfire with lots of alcohol. Remember, it's all fun and games until somebody loses a wiener! |

Found it for $16 on amazon and ordered it. I guess the high prices are due to supply and demand. Shame Mr Lee's stuff is so costly. I enjoy his leisure stuff but it's much tamer. |
