Here's some cool news: the film option for my 999 story "ICU" has just been renewed for another year by Ian Levy, the guy who produced Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments. His company just sold a China Melville story to Paramount, too, which looks like it might be a big deal. Anyway, it's always great to have an option extended. Lookslike I'm partying tonight! Best, Edward Lee PS--on the work front, now that HOUSE INFERNAL is turned in, I'm gonna take a week off and do nothing but look at the Gulf of Mexico. Then I have to choose a story from THE USHERS and do it as a comic script but for the life of me I can't decide which one. (Suggestions are more than welcome). Meanwhile my note file for the Lovecraft book keeps getting bigger and bigger... |

Mr. Torso....MR TORSO. That would be my sugestion. I've got copies of Haunted House and the new Teratologist, also heard that Operator-B is coming out again in paperback by Necro, but what I most would like for Christmas is a an update on how Ghast is doing, have you found someone with enough guts to publish it? Finished Slither last week, the setting was fantastic, I could really feel the heat of the jungle, and now I'm a few chapters from the end of Creekers...that I'm really loving...Gota love those twisted freak creekers. Then all I've got left is a few chap books like 'eyes left' and 'the fountain and the piece of paper' before I'm all dried up on the Lee front. Oh that's right I've still got 'Monster Lake' to read but I'm kinda thinking it's not really gonna be as Hardcore as I'm used to. Really looking forward to House Infernal, take care Ed and enjoy your holiday, I'm sure you've deserved it. |

Thanks, Jack. GAST is defintely sold but I'm still not allowed to say who'd doing it yet because they're not sure of the release date. (Early 2007, is my guess.) I think it's worth the wait. Thanks for your support! Best, Edward Lee |

Early 2007? damn, so I still got a couple of months of Birthday's, Christmas and a fucking new year celebration to get through before something cool happens. I think I know who's gonna publish it, I can feel it in my water. Oh I finished 'Creekers' today. Fantastic it was, a hell of a number you did on Phil Straker. Any chance that you could do a special edition of one of your books some time down the line and have some patented 'Ed Lee doornockers' to give away? That would be mint. Take care Ed, have a good weekend. |
