THE HICCOUGH is a four page signed limited chapbook published by Camelot Books in a 75 copy edition. This is so obscure even Camelot doesn't list it on their website. It escaped me on my publication list and Mr. Madison also missed it's original edition in his short story compendium. It was written as a companion piece to DEATH OF THE COLD WAR KINGS. I now recall seeing a copy for sale on eBay many years ago. I bid on it and lost. It slipped my mind until this week when another copy came up for sale. I went through the laborious process of going through the many boxes of unpacked books i have in my very dry cellar. No copy found. Looked through various online information sources. Nothing. So I bought the darn thing! What is it worth? Exactly what the next buyer is willing to pay, and not a cent more! |

I'd forgotten all about this chap! I may have 10 or so in storage so next time I feel like getting off my fat butt, I'll look for them. Best Edward Lee |

I am somewhat joking. I know it's very healthy original sale price, and i decided not to get one. I hope it has held it's value, which probably puts me out of the market. Hell ofa great looking production. I re-read it a couple years ago and most of the stories still held up. The best collection for cool stories,to my mind,is the one that Richard Laymon put together. Wow, that's some serious "completism!" None of these projects are very good but I appreciate your enthusiasm very much! Best Edward Lee |
