Unless I'm missing something it would seem that every book that Ed has had out from Leisure is now back in print and can be purchased in a manner that actually results in the author getting paid. Cause for celebration, I think! |

Yeah. Great Job, BTW. Any chance of Sacrifice getting a re-release? I believe after that one, all of his previous novels (except for the Straker novels) would have been reprinted. |

Ghouls is out now and--damn, I don't know for sure!--Sacrifice is too or soon will be. When Leisure sank, I had a lawyer friend of mine properly pull the rights for all titles; the process took 6 months, I think, per the provisions in the contracts, but then the rights all reverted back to me. After that, there was some to-do about Amazon buying all titles from authors who hadn't pulled their right and even paying them the monies that Leisure defaulted on, which I think they did, at least for some authors, and I never heard much more about that. When Leisure folded they owed me about either 6 or 16 grand, I'm not sure which. At any rate, I'm happy with my decision and I remain grateful to Leisure for publishing me for a decade; it's regrettable what happened at the end; I guess they simply didnt get on the e-book ball until they were too mired in debt to regain solvency. The end result is all my backlist is available again. Later all! Best Edward Lee |
