I just had to comment further on this book. When I finished it, I needed time for it to settle, because I was ridiculously amped from how well written it was.

This was completely different from any other Lee books that I have read...100%
After revisiting the Shadow Over Innsmouth prior to reading it, I was glued. Reading pages twice... Whole parts... Blown away.

This sequel was Outlandish!! Every word of it. Talk about taking a story and perverting every element. Lovecraft himself would give it a five star general salute...Well, maybe... I don't know... Who cares...It felt so directed, and razor fucking sharp that I'm surprised that it is not being handed out to children in sixth grade along with The Giver and Lord of the Flies. I'm serious. This book kicked fucking ass... Loved every minute of it.

And the ending.... Oh man... The ending ... :v

Five Star General Salute to you Mr. Lee.

I did enjoy this, at the time I got this and Trolley 1852 for Xmas and thought this was the bettering the two.

I also loved Dunwich Romance, but my fav Lovecraft type tales so far has to be Haunter of the Threshold, love raft rednecks are ace. :*

I think I preferred Trolley 1852 because it was just funnier. Having the aliens referring to "jism" was great and I thought the little punchline about HPL's cock length wa inspired.

Thanks, all, for the wonderful comments. These book were, indeed, more fun to write than just about anything. I was particularly pleased when Innswich won a small award in Germany called The Vincent Price Award for Best International Novel. Okay, so it's not the NAtional Book Award but I love it!

Later, everyone!

Edward Lee
