very regrettably, I'm hearing that an old time friend Phil Nutman is suffering from calamitous health problems and has been hospitalized in Atlanta. Damn it. Phil is the author of the acclaimed novel Wet Work, was a long time staff writer for Fangoria, and cowrote the script for Jack Ketchum's Girl Next Door film. This really sucks, so many people in the genre either dyiing or being racked up with serious medical problems. My thoughts and prayers are with him. Damn it! I met Phil at the very first convention I ever attended, World Horror Nashville in, I think, 92, where Ketchum and I were roommates. Time sure does friggin' fly. Edward Lee |
