Folks: I'm in Vegas (Vegas rocks!) and am about to check in at the convention. Looking forward to seeing those of you who are attending. Got lousy news today, however: Don D'Auria won't be able to attend cuz he broke his elbow. Sucks! Everything esle--except for this CRAPPY keyboard--is great, though. I'll report back soon! Good luck at the convention, Ed. I hope to make it there one day, either as a patron or a writer. Again, good luck in all your future endeavors. |

Thanks, Mille--hope you can make it sometime too. Anyway, folks, I'm back in FL, where it started pouring down rain just as I landed. At any rate, this was the best Killer Con yet and I urge you all to try to attend in the future. Wrath and his cohorts did a tremendous job making this such a whopping success. So many cool people there it's impossible to name em all. It was especially great seeing Ellen Datlow and John Shirley after so long--wonderful people. Another highlight was getting to hang out with David Schow, co author of The Crow (with John Shirley), and who also wrote TCM3; he's also the world's authority on the original Outer Limits which Ive always regarded as the most innovative tv show in history. Super cool guy. Got to shoot some footage for my flick with Ryan Harding, Jeff Burk, Rose Okeefe, and Carlton Mellick, and I can tell you that they are all great actors, not to mention Wrath who really took one for the team by letting me throw vanilla pudding on him! I also discovered for the first time Las Vegas' Chinatown which is OUTSTANDING (and doesn't stick like many other Chinatowns!) One day I ate at 3 different restaurants, they were so good. Plus I had my first Korean OB beer in years. Trust me, it kicks ass. The showing of the Bighead Teaser went great as well, and I think only one person walked out! It was especially cool for Mike (director), Geoff (producers) and KAte, Ashley, and Lance (actors) to show up for the event. Somehow, too, I managed to finnagle Monica O'Rourke and Ellen Datlow no less to appear in my movie! No lie! And they're great! Now, of course, come the post convention depression, and I gotta unpack all this stuff and then get back to work. I will continue to shoot vignettes for my flicks plus I'm back to writing daily, working on Header 3. Thanks again for your support! I'l be back on the board soon Best Edward Lee |

It was definitely a "killer" time. Wow, so you managed to get Ellen Datlow in the movie? That's quite a coup indeed. I'd love to know what you shot with her and Monica. I'd say Carlton was the best of our group, and Wrath seemed a natural. Hope you managed to get back home without getting that damned cold that was going around. I woke up with a sore throat Monday morning. I'm just stuffy now, though. As colds go, I've certainly had much worse. A small price to pay for a wild weekend. It was awesome to hang out with you, too! We didn't get much of a chance back at Horrorfind 2004. Ryan H |

Hey Ed, Glad you had a great time. I wish I could have been there. I had planned on it but with my transfer to Michigan State and all the extra stuff needed for my Fisheries and Wildlife Management lab class it was just not in the budget. I'm still hoping to make it next year but it might depend on whether I do a study abroad next summer and can still swing the cash. Glad to hear you are back to writing Header 3. Tony |

I have loved reading about the movie updates but hearing Header 3 is back on track is like sweet music to my ears. The Header story arch is one of my favourites and i cant wait for this one!!!! I know it is prob a way off yet but will there be illustrations? Header 2 was a fine book and i loved the addition of the illustrations for each chapter. Keep up the good work Mr Lee and I'll keep reading it. |
