How could I forget this? On Friday, I was shooting a scene wherein a beautiful woman in a bikini gets slimed. But just as I would say "action," the most verbose to-do erupted from the back yard of the next house. I was a bit pissed because, after all, I was shooting a movie scene, and how DARE anyone interfere with that. But very quickly it occurred to the bikini'd woman that something mightily bizarre was taking place. We could see anything because there's a high wooden fence, but we could hear everything. At first it sounded like some sort of Baptist Revival hooplah; lots of "Alleluias" and "Praise the Lord"s, but then some other phrases seeped in, like, "Let peace return once again to this humble house of God," "may thee of filth and the devil's work be gone!" "...rid this house of all unclean things which have trespassed here," etc. There had to have been at least 10 people participating. and when I looked in a crack in the fence, I could scarcely see anything, but there seemed to be a woman in a white robe or gown. My model and I were quite astounded, needless to say. I actually have a bit of the to-do on audio and I'll be sure to put it in the Bonus Features of my movie. At any rate, it was an interesting day! Funny thing about that house is, anyone who moves in doesn't stay long. It seems that I'm living right next door to the horror genre's best cliche! There was a woman and two kids stayed there for about a month, then left in the middle of the night, leaving many belongings. Last year, and older man and woman, moved in and were gone shortly thereafter. Oh, and maybe last summer, it looked like 2 couples were moving in, very nice, friendly, all this. They were gone after only a few days. and maybe two weeks ago, another woman moved in, big moving truck, etc., five LOUD kids, and it appears that they never bothered unpacking all there stuff before that left the very next day. I remember the house was abandoned for a year or so--nothing unusual in this age of foreclosure--and the guy who lived there for over a year seemed a wee bit odd in that he was never seen during the day, was coming and going in the middle of the night in his LOUD pickup truck, while other vehicles came and went at odd hours, and he had a beagle which would howl all day long because the prick never let the dog in the house. Then he too up and split. Probably nothing, I know, but ya gotta wonder! Later! Edward Lee |

If they thought that house was bad, I guess it's lucky they didn't take a peek at what you guys were up to next door... Ryan H |

What's different with Edward's house. Everyone has jars of kum adorning their living room. Severed wieners, "actresses" practicing their scream queen screams. All normal! |

A couple of times I've seen the same clean-up crew over there in between renters; I'll definitely ask them if they know anythinig. I'll also ask the guy who told me about the murder on the train tracks; that guy suddenly returned to town. Of course, I almost don't want to know! Edward Lee I |
