Mine are in no particular order : teratologist Going Monsturum Gast Pig / house All of the books by Ed are gory, even the less gory ones have more gore than a dozen novels by Stephen king. His novels are gory, but the short stories are OMG. |

Add Family Traditions, Haunter of the Threshold, Header 2 and Bighead. Some of the shorts in Brain Cheese made my stomach do flips too. |

The Dritiphilist doesn't have any gore in it at all. Downright tame... |

Really loved that story. Made my gag reflexes work. Hope Ed will write a complete novel about this. The wrong guy is one of my favorite short stories. |

I've always felt my grossest novel was Haunter of the Threshold, but most fans disagree. I guess The Pig and The House have some real "take the cake" scenes. Several women told me the forced monster-oral-sex in Trolley nearly made them throw up, and one friend long ago said the DID throw up reading Dritiphilist. I guess that means I did my job! I'd agree with Haunter. That being said, nothing seems to gross me out anymore. It seems to do the opposite. I loaned it to a co-worker. She didn't get past the opening rape scene. On another note, I've been wanting a new tattoo and I'm seriously considering getting The Bighead tattooed on my arm. Tony Beals |

I cant honestly say this is the goriest, but I can say that it is one of the most shocking... I was working this event at the Fairmont Hotel in Lake Louise, Canada, and all I brought was my 1/52 hard cover of EVER NAT...With slipcase... Man I was reading that thing with my partner beside me in the next bed, and he asked what I was reading, so I told him. His jaw just hung. I was at the dunking scene and I was just laughing my ass off and he wanted to know, so I told him. It was so funny, because he was watching some lame reality show, and I was reading this book, and his reaction was so over the top, "What the fuck?" kinda thing, that I just burst out laughing...he just though it was so warped that someone would write about something like that. So I started telling him about the oldman scene in GAST, when he puts the straw in his ass, and he just told me to "fuck right off? Yeah right? Yeah Right?" I litterally paced the room in disbelief at what I was reading, I was so stoked... I had to put the thing down and get air at one point I was laughing so hard. I have that book on my mantle, proudly displayed. Me and my buddy Kyle are always saying Ever Nat in Southern Accents, with a good laugh. Ive bought so many limited Lee books over the last year and a half, its unbelievable. Over fifty..Ill list em at some point. I have almost all of them actually, except for a few which I will be getting once this stint in Australia is over with. Back home ive introduced him to three of my friends, one of which is buying him up like mad right now... he cant get enough, loves readin him...Ever Nat, he does. Reading Coven right now, and just howling when that German dude stuffs his head in the toilet... So good. |

I don't even remember any particularly gory scenes from Ed's books. All that comes to mind are hilariously twisted gross-out sex scenes. |

Thanks, all, for your kind words about my favorite subject! Actually, the main reason I've become so obsessed with making some films is because of 1) a compulsion to take favorite images from my books and translate them photographically (one example: Augustina, in Infernal Angel, a gorgeous nude woman covered head to foot with tattoos of inverted crosses) and 2) I MUST film some of the most outrageous scenes that I've written, and scenes that NO ONE would think of putting in a movie. So far, my efforts, I think, are going well for a guy who knows precious little about film making. There will be a "dritiphilist" scene, a "shake-a-puddin'" scene, and if the guys making Bighead don't do the colostomy bag scene, then I will! Gross-out is such a glorious art when done properly, and thank you all for your interest! Best Edward Lee |
