Here's how ridiculous I am. I felt too lousy to go to Evil Dead so I came home and decided to putter with Cornface props. I'd been building a small catapult (which I would think of as my "Loogie Launcher" to hurl stage phlegm (there will be a LOT of it in Cornface!) Anyway, I finally get the cup mounted on the catapult, then I try it out on my landlord's fence. (After much previous invesitgation, I've discerned that, specifically, Chik-Fil-Ay--or however you spell it--honey mustard sauce make PERFECT, well, you know: hock, lungers, redneck custard, chest pudding, etc. I Anyway, I load up a dab in my launcher and--whap!--it works great! Then I tried a small amount of Polaner Sugar Free strawberry jam (if you use the regular kind and miss some during cleanup, you get ants, racoons, etc.) and--whap!--it works perfect! The stuff make for great post head-shot brains splatting against a wall, or any manner of gore. Then I get to thinking--a bad move. I decide to see how stage blood works in my ingenious contraption but instead of wisely putting a small amount in the cup, I decide to fill 'er up. Then, One, Two, Three--Launch! The friggin' blood arcs twice as high as the jam and mustard. Half of it splats the fence high and ricochets into my face and onto my WHITE shirt. But what of the other half, you may ask? It flies OVER the fence and hits my neighbors house. The house is beige. I peeked over the fence to take a gander and it looks like a a drug deal gone bad. Worse, the lady next door is the incarnation of chronic aggression disorder. She bellows quite often. Of course, the right thing to do would be to man up, knock on her door, explain the mishap, and then offer to pay for cleanup or damages. But I haven't done that yet. Wish me luck! Edward Lee PS--Recently saw Zombie A-Hole by Dustin Mills, same guy who did Night of the Tentacles and Bath Salt Zombies, and it was a blast. Also rewatched Slaughter High and was reminded why I'd always regarded it as among the most boring flicks ever shot, and Chopping Mall, which isn't very good but outstandinig because it hAS Barbara Crampton in it! |

Ha! I kind of wished it was the fake sperm instead that hit your neighbors house. Hold on... Hey! There is still time! Fire away, man! |

Speaking of Barbara Crampton, I watched the From Beyond BluRay this week. What a fox. Such a cool movie, too ... the Pretorius FX are berserk. Somehow I've never seen Chopping Mall. I was always intrigued by the box art but I'd read the back and always talk myself out of it. Ryan H. |

Oh I've GOT to hear how this one ends! It would be funny if she'd actually read any of your works - she might be less apt to go belligerent on someone as creatively destructive as you! |

Barbara Crampton is HOT! Say, what is she doing these days? Conventions? Anymore movies? |

She actually has two new films coming out theatrically this year. LORDS OF SALEM, the new Rob Zombie thing, and Adam Wingard's YOU'RE NEXT, which I keep hearing great things about. Not sure how big her roles are in either. |

You should go over there with a power tool and tell her to prepare for a head-humpin! Tony |

Damn, I wonder what she'd charge to be in my movie! There was an ish of Fangoria not too long ago with big interview with Barbara and, wow, she's more attractive now than she was in Re-Animator. I hope she's having a great career! Edward Lee |
