I just happened to do a new Edward Lee search on Audible, and apparently "Brides of the Impaler" was released on 11-29-12! I've never heard of the narrator - Barry Campbell - before, but if it's one of Ed's books, I'll give it a shot.

Ed, did you know about this release? It wouldn't be the first release you didn't know about, if not!

Oh, as an aside, I am now the proud owner of a signed copy of "Going Monstering" - #147 to be exact! Does it receive extra street cred for being previously owned by Bizarro author Jordan Krall?! :p

Total street cred for Jordan Krall! Squid, motherfucker, squid.

Believe it or not, I didn't know about the audio of Brides either; that whole Leisure subcontracting of audio companies still has me puzzled. However, I did receive a email from the company a few days ago assuring me that royalties are being processed. knock on wood! Also, that's very cool you now own a copy of Going Monstering previously from the shelf of Jordan Krall! Hope you like it!

Oh, I've already read it - Jordan offered me a great deal on it and is a very personable guy. Going Monstering was a disgusting display of vulgarity - of COURSE I loved it!

Ah, OK, listened to the first 5 chapters.

The story, of course, is excellent (as it was when I read it!). I honestly do not like this narrator. The way he reads the story (and especially doing the female voices) reminds me of my grandmother. Literally - it might just be how he reads (and she read me stories as a child), but he inhales and speaks - just not my style.

I will, of course, finish the book - I'm not going to let a irritating (to me) narrator keep me away from it! The Bighead is still the ultimate on audiobook... I can't believe how well that turned out.

One of these days I'll actually have to listen to one of my audio books! But thanks for your continued interest and support!

If so, I'd have to say "The Bighead" all the way sir!

Andy Mack does a decent job on Slither and Flesh Gothic, and I just commented on Brides above. Of the four... Bighead ALL the way.

Ed, I keep meaning to ask you something... while I'm VERY glad you're getting the royalties you deserve from the audiobooks (glad I could help a second time with the same book!), have you ever thought about getting more involved in the production of these? It sounds like it's not an area you have a lot of interest or expertise (just a guess), but I think if the stupid production company actually OFFERED TO GET YOU INVOLVED (!), each one might turn out one helluva lot better.

Just my $0.02, as someone who loves both your work and the ability to listen to your work on the way to MY work. :-)
