http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLGjjBHFrpk I like the story. I especially like the clarity of the prose. I like pretty much everything except the gal on the cover with the stupid giant boobs........... The criticism I see about the book centers around the ending. I would agree, but I see enough special things in this novel and it's writing style that I just don't see why anyone would focus on weaknesses. |

That is a nice edition. I can understand why some might feel the ending too convoluted--I do know that I soometimes try to pack too much into a book where it might have benefited by less. But thanks for picking it up! Edward Lee |

I loved this book, great story, great characters. I love your grim and gory stuff like Pig/Family Traditions/Bighead etc but for this book i think less was more, it didn't need to be an all out splatter fest. One of my favourites. I have been enjoying alot of your Lovecraft work and Redneck stuff so Witches and black magic made a nice change. Keep up the good work and keep us posted with updates of new work. |

Oops. Not Larry's last lettered copy. He very nicely sent me "X" which used to be owned by Cadaver Press. Everything at Mistatonic Books is 20% off this weekend, which means I paid $40 more than you might. Coupon code feb22...... |

I have been reading this copy. It is nice to have a leatherbound book in hand. Just feels right. I had forgotten much of this novel. This means I am now ready to re-read lots of my old Ed Lee, Charlee Jacob, and Tom Piccirilli. Stick with the best, forget the rest! |

Hey. Hey. Now that I have finished this novel, I personally have no issues with the ending. Felt good, felt right. The only thing I would add is that I still don't know what motivates a creeper/peeper. I had a couple friends that looked in windows as early teens. There were a couple great looking girls in our neighborhood they would go to great lengths to spy on. I never accompanied them, but it was very easy to see the excitement that built in these guys. Clearly hooked on the adrenaline of it. |

Larry Roberts at Mistakonic Books has more copies of WITCH WATER lettered. http://www.miskatonicbooks.com I do buy books simply to resell them. My supply at the moment is small and will probably stay that way. http://www.amazon.com/shops/jpokela. This is what I have for sale. Noticeably missing from this list is the 30 or so lettered copies I have of Ed Lee's stuff. And a copy of pretty much everything he has written! I also have a (almost) complete set of Necro Publications. My personal collection. I bought that lettered WITCH WATER for me. And hopefully with me is where it will stay! |

If you are interested in looking at lettered books online, this guy does a great job in describing the books he buys. http://www.awfulbooks.com |

Poke, I was half-joking, but I have saved the links you've presented. I'm a packrat by nature, and I have over 6000 favorites/bookmarks in "My Favorites" (even though many are probably out-of-date!). I have a admittedly small collection of Ed's works, some signed editions, but I've gotten screwed on those on occasion from eBay. When I see "signed edition," I want to see Ed's sig IN THE BOOK itself, preferably the numbered edition. What I've received at times is the book itself and a small placard with Ed's signature on it - completely NOT what I thought I was buying, nor was it clear in the description. Granted, I wanted the books anyway or I would not have bought them, but it usually means I have to buy a second version later. That said, my most sacred pieces in my Edward Lee collection are as follows: * Two copies of The Bighead - one new hardback, and one original 1997 softcover WITH the Bighead's pic on it - #162 signed! (LOVE this version!) * Copy #147, signed, of Going Monstering, that was previously owned by bizarro author Jordan Krall - talk about a history! * Copy #82, signed, of Messenger * Copy #65, signed, of You Are My Everything (return to rednecks woot woot woot!) * Copy #290, signed by BOTH Edward Lee AND Wrath James White, of Teratologist And, finally, my abosulte TREASURE, is.... * Copy #223 (my favorite caliber as well, woot woot!), signed of course, of GAST |

I supposed the ultimate gun enthusiast/Lee collector would want each different title with a seprate caliber: 9, 22, 25, 32, 38, 357 etc. One of these day I may very well buy my own "heater." My handgun of choice, of course, would be a Webley .455 semi auto pistol which seems to appear copiously in my books! Edward Lee |

Although my Ruger Blackhawk 30. Carbine revolver appeares in a lot of my stories, most of the time it's people dying from /or using knives. I'm no gun enthusiest, one gun is enough for me, and personally I love knives. I have a real nice knife collection including italian switch blades, bucks and some rare brass knuckle-dusters! YEEAOWW! -Chuck |

I am fully in favor of gun rights, yet I own no guns and don't have the slightest interest in ownership. I have promised my wife we will go to a range and do some shooting. Sometime. She seems to forget about it as much as I do... |

Poke, if your woman wants to go - TAKE HER! My wife grew up with a mother (who still is) deathly afraid of guns, and while she liked the idea of a gun for protecting her and the kids, she was terrified of them. I took her to the range and all that changed. She understood the gun wasn't just going to jump up and start killing people randomly (maybe there's an Edward Lee short story there), and while she still doesn't "like" guns, she doesn't bat an eye at my hobby. That, and she continually asks to go to the range because she wants to be more familiar, if not comfortable, with them. |

Years ago--who am I kidding? DECADES ago, I took a reluctant girlfriend to a pistol range, coerced her to bust a few caps from a Walther PPKS and--wow!--did her disposition change! Her libido changed as well, and for the better! Edward Lee PS--didn't I have .69 caliber muskets in Gast and Witch Water? |

Honestly, I'd have to go back and look at Gast. I was reading "The Black Train" over Gast, simply because the Kindle was easier to lug around. When I was home, I cracked Gast open to see what the difference(s) were, and that's when I stopped it on the Kindle and re-started Gast from page 1! And the 19th century shaven monkey was too distracting for me to notice calibers.... |
